I’ve been doing a polish on my wife’s Sequoia the last couple of days. I knew some rain was likely today, so my goal this morning was to finish the polish, wash it off, and at least get some Hydro2 on it.

Right before I started applying Hydro2, the rain hit. I said heck with it and went ahead with putting it on since it sets with water anyway. While it’s raining may not be ideal conditions, but it worked fine.

So, it’s raining pretty hard. I’m out there in the driveway still spraying the truck, and I catch the neighbor snap a picture out of the corner of my eye. Just a matter of time before I end up on Facebook or something with a caption of “Dumbass washing his car in the rain” or something......

It’s perfectly normal to pressure wash vehicles in the rain.

You better have six 1 packs sitting out for the shock and ahhh effect.

I got caught by my neighbor washing in the rain last week. I had just sprayed fluid film all over the underside and the overspray cloud made it truck super greasy. I pulled it out and gave it a foam, then wash, as I was drying it started to pour. It was fine with me since the rain won't leave the water spots that my hose would. So instead of drying I started spraying hydro2 on every horizontal surface, it worked great. I was too embarrassed to tell my story here. But I know I'm not alone. Thanks for sharing Jason, I'm Sean and I am a detailaholic.

P.S. I not only wash my mower, I hydro2 it, and fluid film the underside and other areas. I have fluid filmers anonymous on Tuesdays.

I've always wanted to wash my truck in the rain, just go out and soap it up, let nature take care of the rinse. Never done it though.

Dry cookies and don't forget drinking out of those tiny Dixie cups hahah. I washed my car in the rain then it stopped. Started to dry it then it started raining again yet I continued to dry it because I convinced myself that the wash water and rain water were different and I for some reason needed to dry off the wash water. I need help for real
