I am putting on 285/75r17s on Icon Vector 5s. End game is 6112/5160s. I am trying to keep the Mrs happy by not going crazy with costs so I am trying to find the best bang for the buck on the UCA.

I tow a 27' trailer about once every 6 weeks. Might make a 1000 mile trip at the end of summer with it (if Rona allows). Mild off-roading fall-spring for hunting. Nothing extreme.

    I have looked at:
    Camberg
    SPC
    JBA
    Zone
    Total Chaos

I am leaning Camberg atm, as JBA looks like they are having supply chain issues.

    What does tundras.com think.

    TIA

I believe Cambergs are uniballs which I beleive require more maintenance. You cant go wrong with SPC's which is what many of us run.

Did this install with my pop and he wondered if the SPC ball joint would slide since is doesn’t lock into place. Anyone have this happen?

Novice with this suspension thing, so please be patient. What would make me change UCA's? Does it depend on the amount of lift? How aggressively I plan to off-road? Wheel off set?

For Tundras it's generally accepted that anything 3" or more lift should get UCA. They will benefit alignment( after a while the stock ones just won't cut it) , an I do believe there are some clearance benefits as well. I feel it's one of those things where you do it once an do it right.

They get torqued to 150 ft pounds so they shouldn't move.

Camburg makes a balljoint model as well if you want lower maintenance
