Never saw it posted in my research prior to getting the shackles installed, however there's only a few inches of clearance between my leafs and the exhaust now with the +3 CB's. Anyone else have the same issue? Willing to bet they will hit at partial flex. Will post pic after work

I have TRD duel exhaust and coachbuilder plus three shackles and did not have to do any modifications.

You absolutely will hit at full droop. I cut mine off flush, right before they cross the spring. I only had 2”CB shackles.F6D996A0-9CEB-4059-912B-B3124BB03B06.jpgIf you don’t off-road, you will never know and most people don’t off-road.

Sure enough. Backed up onto a ramp thats about 8" tall and it's already almost hitting. I don't plan to do any serious crawling in my new truck, only playing in the snow and muddy service roads. Thinking I'll be fine...

Same problem , I cut mine off just after it passed over the axle so it angled down.

Does chopping at the point where it aims down cause any cab drone?

You’re gonna get a change in the sound but not really any drone other than you currently have.

Mine was like that on my 2013. It hit going over speedbumps at Lowes. Cut/dump it. Many members have done it. Even DD has a dumped system that he sells.

For real. I get the need to chop but that's gonna look ghetto. Thinking of doing side exit in front of passenger wheel with black tips.. that escalated quickly.

Search around. There are a few pics to show what it looks like after. On a daily basis, probably the only people that will look at it are other Tundra owners with modded trucks.

I couldn’t find a buyer for my PRO tips. Ended up tossing them.

I wonder if anyone has used the TRD tips at the downward dump? Think I might cut it and reweld the tips on.

It looks like there's probably room to do that. I would probably use turndowns and face them slightly outward to push some of the resonance out from under the truck. Could surely sell the TRD tips to offset any expenses incurred.

No change in sound and not a ghetto look , I take alot of pride in my truck, and how it looks. Besides any one who crawls under it to judge my exhaust can stay home! And I'm not into NASCAR so ahead of the wheels looks weird on a truck.

Is there a way to bend the piping to avoid this issue, im preparing to get CB shackles and would prefer not to hack my exhaust. I may hit up my local muffler guy for alternatives.

I'm going to have to look at mine now...I off road quite a bit and haven't run into any clearance limitations, yet. No sway bar installed. I remember having to adjust the exhaust bracket maybe?

Check the build link in my signature.
Hmm...I was thinking of adding +2 and now this has me wondering about doing that.
I wonder how the TRD tips would look going out the back... I saw a Tundra the other day with some plain round pipes out the back and it didn’t look bad at all.
