hey guys I posted before but this topic is the nitty gritty. I have a 2010 Tundra 5.7 Supercharged. It has the 17 TRD rims, with 35x12.50R17LT tires by Nokian.
First I want black rims, I have a few picked up but I’m unsure of the offset. The tires that are on now are to narrow for me. I would like for them to stick out a little. I don’t go off-roading so I’m not worried about kicking up mud! Second I would like the highest tire to keep the height of the truck to its max without do8ng anykind of lift. Lastly I want Road handling and traction to handle that 500hp with minimal road noise. The ones I have are brutally loud. Please send some recommendations for the correct rim size and brand/ size tires. What I have now is below. Thanks guys I’ll keep you posted on my decision ones you all educate me..lol

A 35x17 that handles, not sure that's out there.
Your best bet is to move up in wheel size. Less sidewall equals less flex. Plus more "street" tire options in larger wheel sizes.
Next, you don't need a wider tire you need more offset to achieve the stance you want. A 12.5 is plenty wide. With that being said you need to watch the offset so you don't run into rubbing issues.
For noise just stay away from mud terrain tires.
    Good luck

I’m defiantly going up in rim size. I was only thinking 18s. How much can I go up and still have a high tire? I don’t want low profile tires.

20s with 35s don't look bad. Do some Google searching. That would give you 7.5" of sidewall

20” rims. I can still go with a higher tire and have proper clearance?

If you are running 35 now it's not going to matter what size wheel it's on. It will however depend on the offset of the wheel

Wish there was a good site you could see that on. 20 inch rims with 35s. Do you think -24 offset is to much?

Michelin Defender LTX MS tires are IMO the best street tire you can get for our trucks. Quiet, light, great traction, very long life. If you go with am 18 or 20 inch wheel I think they come in 34-35 inch.

From my understanding it’s all stock from Toyota however the original owner ordered it. I’ll start looking at 20” rims and see if I can find some tundras with that setup. Wish I knew more about this. The rims and tires I have now are in excellent shape. My truck only has 21,200 miles on it. What’s a doable price if I decide to sell them for those 17” TRD rims and tires?

Was looking at the XD series black xd820grenade wheels 20”x10”/ 5x150mm with a -24 offset. Any thoughts?

    Not stock suspension

You have icon shocks and aftermarket UCAs
And it's got 35s. It's lifted for sure, not sure how much though

Not sure what you paid but you got a supercharged tundra with an expensive front suspension. Nice truck. Lets see more pics and details:)

I'd ask $1000 for wheels and tires, try to sell on local Craigslist too.

Ok I’ll get better pics on Sunday and update ya. If I could get 1k for those rims and tires that would definitely offset the price of buying new ones...:)

That's a good looking truck, and I'm jealous of that supercharger and suspension.

Yes. Way too much offset. Those Rockwarrior wheels are +50. So you’ll be about 3” further out than now. It might look ok but you’re going to have major rubbing issues. Actually, any offset other than the +50, you’re going to need a CMC and do a bunch of plastic trimming.

I was going to upgrade to possibly 20" rims and probably either sell the TRD rims or use them for winter.

ok wow, that was educational. So I am going with 18" rims at 12.5. I am getting a 35X12.5 R18 tire. Looking for a great package deal with a nice riding quiet tire that grips on the asphalt. Any suggestions for best sites for that combo?

like stated above, -24 offset is way too much. i just switched from your old wheel and tire set up (rock warrior wheels and 33s) to an 18" wheels with +25mm offset with 295 70 18 toyo tires. you are probably a little higher than me (im at 2.5" up front) and i did a body chop as cheap insurance that everything would clear.
i wouldnt go past +25mm offset and definitely not past +18mm. every 25mm=1" further out of the fender
as for the best site, i use discount tire direct. they will mount and balance your new combo for free, ship it for free and price match any other competitors price.
here is a link to my new set up, which from what you have said, is pretty much what you are looking for. new tires are 34.4" tall. most 35" tires actually measure 34.6-34.7" for reference

I like that setup. I guess I’ve had so many people tell me so many different things. At the end of the day when I see a picture of a truck that looks really like what I’m looking for is a pretty easy decision. Thanks

I like the 18x12s. But, I'm not scared to cut to fit. I also like the nice, wide stance of a 12 inch wide rim. Just my opinion. Not everyone likes it.

and the toyo at2 is a very nice tire. at 70 i dont have any road noise and so far they are very smooth. i have also run nitto terra grappler g2s and they are nice and quiet too. stay away from mud terrains if you want good road manners
