Need Some help with new fog light wiring

    So i purchased the ijdm fog lights and they come with positive and negative ends only am I able to wire these directly to original sockets?

    I ran the black to white with black and red to pink on one side the other side was black with white and black red to purple and they work

    So if I switch the wires around will they short something out?
