Got the CEL & went to Autozone. Code reader showed the P0430 for the O2 sensor.
Is this a bank 1 or bank 2 downstream sensor? The guy at Autozone was not to sure. Appreciate any input. Don’t want to change the wrong one.

Guess I did not word this very good. I’m trying to figure out if this is the passenger side 02 or drivers side O2?

Appreciate your help, but I’m getting confused. I have 2 catalytic converters on my truck & the P0430 code indicates one of the two sensors downstream of the catalytic converters is bad. I just can’t figure out what side, drivers or passenger side?? At least this is my understanding. And I could be wrong.
The code pic is from Advanced Auto & I’m having trouble reading the upper numbers in the picture that would tell me what side is bad.
Hope I explained that a little better.

Changed the downstream O2 sensor & the CEL never went out. However, I did not disconnect battery. Not sure if that makes a difference.
Had truck at dealership yesterday & they tested & said bad catalytic converter. Will probably live with it for now. Heard good things about Walker Cats & they seem reasonably priced.

Just a follow up to this thread. I did have a Walker Cat installed due to the cat failure. The Cat actually was in pieces and I did not want to risk any further issues. I’ve had the Walker Cat in for over 6 months without any issues. Even towed a 7k camper across the country this summer. No issues at all.
Now I think I hear an exhaust leak & I’m eying up the DD exhaust deal for my Christmas present!
