Tuesday got a new kicker amp installed and JL audio subwoofer. It was running fine till Wednesday night.

Last night my son took the truck for drive. All I hear now is center speaker in very low voice, and lot of static from door speakers, even nothing from subwoofer.

Checked behind the rear seat looks like amp is powering on.

    Amp fried ?

    Are you on factory hu?
Can you give more specific details on your setup?

Are you sure the amp is powering on? Sounds like he just got a little too feisty and popped a fuse. Is the amp just powering the sub?

    Is your factory HU JBL?

A non-JBL Entune runs the dash speakers off the HU and the doors off the under seat factory amp, that I guess you replaced.
It would take a bit of rewriring to run the dash speakers off the new amp.

If your Limited has JBL, that would change things up a bit.

Did you install the amp, or have it installed?

Non JBL. Yes center speaker is powered directly via HU but even that one is having very low volume.

Got the amp installed from car toys. Anyways paying them visit tomorrow to see what they say.

Actually the center is run from the side dash speakers that are run off the HU.
Signal goes HU, side dash, center.

They have no connection to the underseat amp other than sharing an output signal.
So it is odd that your new amp has any effect on the dash speakers at all.
Unless they crossed up the polarity/phase.

Also odd that it all worked at one time, then it didn't.

Hope they get it figured out.
    Let us know what happened.
    I'm curious myself..

    Good luck...

Amp is replaced. It’s working now, tech suspects the driver side speaker is toast. Going to replace the speakers on Dec 3.

Sounds like he cranked the system up, sending a ton of distortion into the system, clipped the amp and toasted some voice coils in the process.

Either fork up for a better headunit, or a better sound processor. I’m assuming they just hooked up a high level input for the amp?
