The weeds, gravel, and mud that I drive through daily have finally got the best of the cheesy factory plastic bumper at 150k miles and it's time to put on something made of steel. Having a hard time finding what I want. I like the Rough Country bumper but apparently it wont' work with the TRD skid plate? anyone have experience with this?

    looking for:
    clean / minimalist lines
not crazy heavy (I drive in loose sand and mud all day and don't want more front end weight)
    don't need a winch--have John Deere tractors
want to retain the OEM sonar sensors--realize this may mean drilling a couple holes.
Finally, I just don't have 2 grand to drop on a bumper. Got a daughter starting college.

    Ideas / leads?

I have the Rough Country bumper on mine. I have the RCI skid plate, but I don't see why it wouldn't work with the TRD plate. Where did you see that at? I will have to look at the installation instructions for the TRD plate.

I asked RC if it was compatible and they said it wasn’t. No idea how much fabrication would be required to mate the 2 parts.

hadn’t heard of the coastal, yeah I can weld and I like the lines of that one. Definitely a good option.

I have the coastal with a RC skid. Thicker than the TRD skid
