I'm looking into getting a different muffler but dont want horrible drone. Would like to have a nice deep rumble at idle and actually hear my exhaust when I accelerate. What are you guys running and/or recomend? Going to hook in onto stock exhaust .Thank you

I run a JBA catback, single exit. Sounds good...nice subdued rumble @ idle, gets exciting when you favor the skinny pedal. Very slight drone around 1500rpm...but I dont spend much time in that range. This is on a 4.7 though so YMMV. Cheers

Dirty Deeds 8”! Comes with a resonator to kill interior drone. Very nice sound and adds about 3-10 hp at the wheels according to Dirty Deeds’ own dyno testing.

It seems everyone is impressed with @dirtydeeds I have the TRD Pro. Subtle. Similar power gains as dirtydeeds. Has an annoying helicopter sound at 1400 rpm that others say can be solved with 1/4 wave resonators sold by dirtydeeds. But then, why not just go with his. You can choose the level of sound you want by selecting which mufflers it comes with.

    Stock.... as of now.
I did a magnaflow knock off dual in single out dumped over the rear axle. Works fine for what your looking for. I can actually hear my truck now.

    YES I KNOW... Dirtydeeds....TRD.....

    I spent $150 driveout and I'm good!

I swapped my muffler for a Borla muffler. Couldn't be happier. Just the right rumble and no drone.

I went with Dirty Deeds 6 in and left off the resonator and I love it. I do have a little drone at 60-65 MPH but it does not bother me at all. Like previous people have mentioned give Keith at dirty deeds a call he will tell everything you need to know.

Heard that with the over the counter mufflers the over the axel dump is the way to go. Heard it will eliminate highway drone given you've shortened the piping length moving the drone up to the 2000 ish range.

I just figured out the exhaust size on the tundra and found one with the correct size. And made sure it had, 2 inlet with 1 outlet. I can't remember the exhaust size. But I got the muffler from summit racing.

I went with a custom 3-muffler system from Dirty Deeds that I dumped after going over the axle. I get a nice rumble at start up, a quiet idle and as close as you can get to the sound of a muscle car when accelerating. I like it.
