Need a manufacturer and part number for replacement differential cover

I have a 2006 Tundra 4X4 Double Cab Limited 4.7 which has developed a leaking rear differential cover. I have been searching all over and can not find a weld on cover to specifically fit my truck. Can any one help me in this matter? My epoxy patch jobs do not hold for more than a few days.

I'm not yet having luck finding the thread discussed recently that says this should fit all 1st gens but for some reason it says 2wd only.

 

Looks like bolting on may be an option too if you drill and tap for it. Take a look at this whole thread too.

Recently I hit mine aggressively with a wire wheel brush around my two pinholes and used steelstik putty, so far so good with those patches. Getting to bare/clean metal is paramount. Did traditional JB weld in the fall without the sanding/wire wheel and they leaked relatively quickly.

Not trying to dissuade you from doing the fix for real, I will have to do the same before too long. Have also seen discussion on here that the dorman cover 100% will fit all 2wd and 4wd, @shifty` and others here more well versed than I have said as such.

 

This latter info came to light recently and is my recollection too.

 

I would like to thank those who responded to my 'cover' question. I have purchased the suggested Dorman cover and I am waiting for an appointment with my welder to install. So far the external measurements prove it to be a good fit.

I've seen at least one example (on line) of someone who drilled/tapped holes in the diff housing, and then bolted the Dorman cover on...

 

thanks for info, have not found that video yet. i have 2 small leaks , leaves puddle size of golf ball or tennis ball. thinking of using drill and wire brush and sandpaper then jb weld or epoxy.

 

That worst too, if the leak(s) are that bad. I've also seen small steel patches weld on over the holes in a similar fashion.
