Great field. Father in law works for AES (DP&L) in Ohio, definitely worth looking into. From time to time, whenever considering a change in the back of my mind, this path is often thought of. Thanks for sharing, if I lived in Colorado, might find myself giving you a call.

Man oh man do I miss the springs. Spent 7 years there , we lived in old town and it was expensive. I can only imagine how much things have changed and how expensive it is now.

 

Left Greeley and came back to AZ for the womerns and the weather... I do miss that slaughterhouse money tho. Easy ass $17/hr.

Yep. My house has more than doubled in value in the 6 years I’ve owned it. I love Tennessee, but I don’t really like what Nashville has turned into. You looking in middle TN?

Good call. From the edge of the Cumberland plateau on eastward is the best part of the state IMO. We take lots of trips out there to the Smokies and CNF.

 

I loved Colorado when I was there for a trip, Denver, not so much but the other parts I went to it was awesome. Would be great to live there but I want to escape the winter, I'm getting tired of it after living in the Northeast for my whole life. Was looking at Vegas but prices have gone up like everywhere else.

No doubt! This was a long time ago, but I interviewed with Lockheed-Martin in Denver once, and was tempted by the offer they gave. But then I saw the prices of even modest houses!

I had to bail. It felt genuinely stupid not to with housing where it was. Property taxes were also becoming ridiculous.

Wound up in Alabama. Mortgage free and no debt. Never in my life thought that'd happen, but here I am.

 

Congrats. That’s a great position to be in. And Alabama is a far cooler place than most would give it credit for.
