What is this little box above me for?

 

Pretty sure its for a grab handle.

 

Grab handle is in the pic. I remember a post a long time ago that had a parts picture and determined it’s just a clip to hold the roof.

 

Yes, that’s exactly what it does. I am the one who posted it. It’s a piece of a conspiracy theory. !

It's most likely one of two things. Either it's for an option (like a coat hanger) left hand drive trucks or it's just to hold the headliner up.

Of course it could be the transmitter Toyota uses to make subliminal suggestions to the driver. I thought I read where Toyota signed a deal with Google and Amazon to implant ideas on what to spend money on.
