A new TSB was released today for the MY21-22 Venza for Wind Noise caused by a front door frame sub-assembly. A new part has been released for the Venza, so hopefully, in time, Toyota will do the same for the MY22+ Tundra.

    Here's to hoping!

Our trucks don't have the same quarter glass piece though, so it wouldn't be the same fix?

I'm simply implying that if they are fixing Wind Noise concerns on other models, there is hope that they will resolve it on the Tundra.

And I petition that it's fixed on 2023's...or there's abouts. Evidence: our 2023 is very quiet on the wind noise topic, and also all of the doors need a harder push to close than I've ever had on a new vehicle. I suspect, just a guess of course, that Toyota beefed up the weather seal for just the wind noise problem.

My 23 has no wind noise issues as well, so there may be hope. Compared to my 11 Rockwarrior this thing is silent even with the KO2s.

I expect wind noise when I'm traveling 65 mph with a 20-30 mph crosswind. Should I not?

What specifically is the tundra's issue?

Someone posted on the Fb page the door and fender line and added a strip there and it’s gone

If you have excessive wind noise on the freeway, you'll know it's there, and it may whistle too :)

Jsut picked up my 2023 Limited last night, I think there is wind noise around the drivers window. Now the problem is I read all this crap and what I am hearing is just normal for a big square brick going 65 MPH, I dont know but its isnt as quiet as my 2023 CX9 or 19 Mustang. But it isnt something annoying either.

My 2023 Tundra sr has a bad whistle noise from the driver door area above 50mph. Took it to the dealer and they had no answer said everything looked fine and no TSB yet. Also, the doors do take a good slam to close all the way, not that that matters to anyone reading this.

Just got my Capstone and it whistles like a locomotive above about 30mph. Also have to slam the doors to shut them, me and my fiance have to shut it a second time at least once a day. Great to hear that I paid extra for quieter windows and Toyota has no idea about a fix for interior noise.

    <Toyota source update>

My Toyota source has informed me that a new window seal is coming. It will involve the rear window seal gap. I can confirm that Toyota is hearing us.

I don’t have a timeframe but it’s in the works. Hopefully a TSB will be out soon.

My 2023 SR has terrible wind noise at highway speeds. I never thought I'd spend $60,000 on a truck to have to wear airpods when I'm driving. Toyota took a look at it but all they managed to do was add a whistle (yes, it got worse after a "repair"...)

    1. 2. Trying to find the post but can’t. Someone taped the gap between mirror housing and door and said it helped. Could try that .

My 2015 Tacoma had wind noise in the drivers window area brand new and took a few iterations of new seals to get right, so this is a tad surprising that it is an issue here

I’ve spent too much time trying to find the noise source myself. My local dealer couldn’t find anything wrong and said there is no TSB. I’ve tried adding weather stripping to make the driver window fit tighter with no affect. Cracking the window the noise is still there. Folding the mirror doesn’t change the sound either. So I’m thinking it has to be the seal between the door and the cab itself. It visually looks fine and the door alignment looks right to me. Driving down the highway drives met nuts unless I have the radio cranked up.

Hunting down wind/whistle issues is annoying, but possible. The easiest thing to do is take painters tape and mask off one seal at a time, drive it, rinse, repeat. My 2020 Tundra had a super annoying whistle coming from the passenger side window/door area. It's a process of elimination - first I taped off my windshield along the A pillar then took it for a drive. Next I added tape around the entire door frame. Then I put tape around the mirror trim where it meets the A pillar. Then I taped around the entire passenger window. The whistle was finally gone. From there I started removing tape from each edge of the window until the sound came back. It ended up being the window seal towards the front, near the side mirror.
