My wife wouldn’t even ask! That’s a big old nope. Something is bound to happen, and if that does it will cause turmoil in the relationship between you, and the in-laws.

She owned a boat when we met. She would ask someone at the ramp to back it down until she met me.
I pointed out her track record with her Highlander (4 accidents) and her unwillingness to learn anything about our current boat.

Needless to say it will be a cold day...lol

My buddy asked to borrow my dirt bikes. (bad enough) I asked him what he'll use to transport them. He said my truck. I told him come on over and bring me a sandwich. When he got to my house, I took the sandwich and said NO. PFFFTTT.

Not big on emoji, but this comes to mind when considering your proper response to your wife.
I’d laugh too. Nothing like noobs messing up all your fine tuned mechanics. Then, when you call them out on their bs they claim stupidity and go back home leaving your stuff trashed. :eek2::eek::annoyed:

It’s no yacht bro but it’s still pristine and 50 G rigged the way it sits. She probably would let the engine warm up out of the water!

Yeah, there are certain things you don't ask your friends. I didn't like being a dick to my friend but that was a lesson he had to learn.

Lol I work a 24 on 48 off schedule and me and my wife are polar opposites when it comes to cleanliness. My truck is showroom ready and her SUV looks like dirty Mike and the boys ran a soup kitchen in it. I leave my truck at home when I work my 24 and bring the keys with me :rofl::rofl: ain't nobody got time for that

I see threads like this here every once in a while. You guys make it sound like you are married to completely incompetent people. Driving a truck isn't that hard. Neither is pulling a trailer. I used to run haul truck and loader at a gravel pit when I was in college. That wasn't really that hard from a technical standpoint, neither.

When I first met my wife, she was driving an F350 long bed with a 7.3. Handled it like it was no problem. I don't have any problem letting her use the truck. She drives it just fine.

Maybe. Her brother his a train wreck that destroys everything in his path. He drove my wave runner into our last boat. 4800 in damage from both. Didn’t see a penny.
He’s never owned a vehicle worth more than 5 grand. I notice sometimes that people who have never worked hard to obtain nice things don’t always value others that have.
I may unfortunately be a dick on this one.

Lol!! Go to a boat ramp on a weekend, grab a six pack and watch the entertainment. I would be willing to bet 7 out of 10 people CANNOT back a trailer worth a shit. Your wife is the exception to the norm.

Well, better to be a dick before than a dick after (and still stuck with the bills!). Learned from an old timer to never lend out motorized mechanical items as the borrower usually is clueless and non appreciative. People like your brother in law are prime examples.
