Why the hell are these GD windows so slow up and down?!

I searched this forum to see if there is a faster motor I could install but came up with nothing. Anyone have a solution?

Try being thankful you have a truck with a switch and windows. It could be far worse!

Check your battery and cables. Low battery or bad connection can cause this problem.

Have you compared them to the speed of another Tundra? Just to be rule out an actual problem? I know on my 2019 they're as fast or faster then any other vehicle I've had.

I’ve thought the same thing, especially in the Alaska cold. Not sure if this is normal but even though mine is auto down it often stops 2/3 off the way down requiring me to push it again. I’ve had quite a few awkward drive-thru moments when I’m reaching out to grab a coffee as it’s rolling down only for it to stop and I bump into it.

The open/close speed could be doubled by limiting the travel by 50%.

I too have a 19. My #1 complaint has about 20 sub bullets and will cost me another +20k in mods.

So your actually doing pretty good.

I second the suggestion to find another Tundra and clock its window speed. Mine are fine. I wish all 5 were auto up/down like my 4Runner, but whatever.

Either there's a problem and yours are actually slow, or whatever vehicle you're comparing it to was on the fast side.

I added this module to make all the windows auto up/down when controlled from the drivers seat. It also allows you to control them from the key fob and they'll also automatically roll the windows up when you park and lock your truck. It's pretty nifty. It could help with the slowness simply because you won't have to be paying attention to it, just tap the button and move on.

3.3 seconds down/4.2 seconds up for my drivers window with the truck on. Just tested it for you while I was waiting in the drive thru.

I'm assuming no one's told him about the transmission cooler?

I'm just kidding. Thank goodness it's not that. The windows are slow on the tundra I'll admit, however, if I could choose between a better stereo or window speed I'd choose the sound of music over wind the majority of time.

My 2019 is super slow too on all the windows . like my full sized border Collie can jump out before the window goes up.

I’m getting very annoyed by my ‘14 SR5’s slow windows. Seems weak compared to my brother’s 1999 F250, which still go up and down at an impressive rate, and are a larger window. Surely we can do better with aftermarket motors? Anyone out there tried it yet?

Yep, I know. First world problem, and if things keep going like they are, we soon won’t even be a first world country anymore, so this will likely fix itself…..
