    Well I’m smiling

I bought my truck with stock, drove it 3 miles to the house, then installed the TRD dual exhaust muffler.

I drove it today, and if you want to put the hammer down, or just get aggressive with it boy does she growl, and you can tell the reaction of the other drivers... I had one guy come swinging up to cut me off and I pushed her enough to downshift and lurch up ... damn thing sounded like a corvette... Cool ! And mr. 4 cylinder hot rod decided to hold off... NICE !

At the end of the day
Coasting / moving at speed - can’t tell it’s there.
Going up a slight hill, floating gas pedal but not enough to do something it’s a tiny bit drony
Mild gas sounds nice a 8 banger, in a good way
Hammer it - Sounds incredible, and like “get out of the freak’n way”..

    Like I said - Smiling.

Glad they helped... those were the questions I had when I bought mine so I was hoping to help others.

Makoy - I put her in Beast mode... and DAWMN! ... like I said if you hammer it with TRD dual exhaust on most 4 banger glass pipe cars think twice... hehehe... Best Mod EVER !!! Worth ever cent

I put it on my platinum. I had doubts at first because I’m not twenty. It took me a week to get use to it. I love it. My bits dropped a couple of inches too.

I just got back from a 1300 mile road to our newly acquired property in NW Wyoming and the TRD exhaust rules in the canyons, especially with the back window down. From 2500 rpm to redline it reminds me of my high school buddies Chevelle in high school. And I too get many stares, especially in the passing zones from the 65-85mph range. There is some drone on the highway, but it's worth it. My brother has a 09 Tundra and when I first pulled up to our property, the first thing he asked me why my truck sounded so much better than his. He has the stock exhaust. Now he wants the TRD exhaust.

    Awesome feedback!

We have been working with and testing the TRD system since it first was introduced.

There’s some improvements to consider. In an uneven firing order v8 such as a tundra, the two banks of exhaust are constantly mismatched. In other words one bank of exhaust always has too little pressure to scavenge properly, while at that exact time the other bank has too much pressure to scavenge properly. And it switches from side to side constantly.

there’s also the issue of drone to consider. We make a device called a helmholtz resonator. This device reintroduces the drone frequency (130hz) back into the system, but out of phase. The two frequencies cancel each other out.

I had the TRD dual exhaust on my truck, and sold it to a member here. I completely regret selling it and have been watching for one locally or a sale since a month later after selling it. I'll have it again, for certain. Glad you are loving it!

If you llive where they salt the roads in winter, the pipes will rust pretty good after even just the first winter, where as stock exhaust will still be 99% rust free. That is the main reason i havent installed the trd exhaust on my truck.Put so much salt on the roads here ,you can feel truck slowly rotting every mile. :(
