Got some free time so I thought I should get a build thread started. When I started looking into trucks, I was told that if you're going to keep it stock, just buy a pro and you get everything you need. After reading online reviews, it was the perfect package for me. I called every dealership around me to let me know if they get one, few dealerships had a inferno come in a few times but I wanted the white one, after 3 months of searching Tracy Toyota called and said they got a black one that just came in, so i just had to pull the trigger. After coming home, i found this site and others, looking through what everyone had, My Pro wasn't everything that I wanted... lolol

March 2015 - Showroom floor pic before taking it home
    [IMG]
    VIDEO :
April - Spyders were on sale... had to try them !

July: Vleds Reverse lights and led interior lights from amazon.
October- Amp Research Powersteps installed !
November- Train Horn installed under the truck- have it disconnected at this time because the air tank was leaking air.
January 2016- Spyders were not bright enough ! Retrofits by @eledobleu !!
    VIDEO :
February- the trd exhaust is great, but i just wanted something a bit louder, maybe a lot louder...lol Talked to Keith and he built the setup in 5 hours while I was driving to San Diego to get it the same day !!
old trd exhaust mufflers off.. probably will hang them up in the garage for display lol.
BAMufflers dual system with NO mufflers in ! (it was painted matte black when installed)

videos just don't do justice for this exhaust !! you have to hear it in person !
    MARCH 2016
New Rigid Radiance bars were out and I was looking to add a lightbar to the truck for a while. I wanted a cheap bar with superior quality, but it seemed that everyone was just getting one off ebay and throwing it on the truck or some of you who have unlimited funds cashing out on rigids and Baja Designs bars. The Radiance feels just like any Rigid product I've held. The harness is backordered for about a week now so ill have to wait and see how the output is, im not expecting E Series outout but it should outperform most ebay brands, thats all I was really looking for.[IMG]

    May 2016
    NEW SHOES
    TRAIL GRAPPLERS 295/70/18
Mud flaps removed and no rubbing!
    SUMMERSIXTEEN

Decided to add a CB Radio setup. Searched around and bought the Uniden Bearcat 880 Chrome edition for just $73 since everyone hates chrome !
Firestik 5ft Antenna mounted on the bed rails. I will probably need to ground the antenna but I haven't got there yet.
The radio is mounted in the center console.

I got a nail in the front tire and the shop patched it up, but after riding through some backroads the tire started leaking air, not something I was looking forward to since S don't even have a spare.
So a new tire it was, will use the old one as a spare.
    ENDOF2016
just losing track of the time now... and its ModsOnModsOnTopOfMods.
It needed a bit of stance... So I decided to go with different rims . 18" Method Roost Wheels with +18 offset. They stick out a bit more than I like, But it should look better once I have a different front bumper
    [IMG]
also did the Diff Breather Relocation Mod
    [IMG]
came up on some Feniex Cobra T3 strobes on ebay .... And I had a idea in my mind... Tundra Tow Truck! but none of the shops around me wanted to take on the job, they said it would be too much work just for some lights, So I decided to do it myself. There wasn't much info on wiring these up,just pictures and videos of the installs. after ALOT of research, I realized it was pretty simple. So the strobes were installed. Still haven't found a reason to turn them on yet.

Threw on some Coachbuilder Shims and Shackles as well.

Heres how she looks til the next mod !

This build makes me drool. I love everything about it. How do you like the VLED reverse lights?

Awesome exhaust setup! I still need to get an exhaust, my truck sounds like a Prius.

Thats a nice looking truck. It may just be me but I've found that as I've gotten older I have become more content with stock (2011 SR5). Keep up the good work so I can live vicariously through you young whipper-snappers.

I got the hornblasters kit and then went to a shop to get it installed. They did it and then it started causing problems because it leaked.. They said it was a bad air tank and connections so they gave me a China made air honk that's loud.. Not as loud as the hornblasters.. But it gets the job done . But it's now starting to leak as well and I will have to just get a new air tank ..

No way can you just buy a truck and keep it stock. Even if it was a pro with LT and all the goodies. Has to be modded. Love the work you have done to yours. Keep it up. Plenty more mods to do ;)

I was thinking on going with Spyder lights for my 2016 but I am concerned that I will lose light at night. Is this the main reason you changed back?

I liked them . The output was about the same as stock to me and it didn't have an even output..it was bright in one place and dark in another. But the real reason was that the led bar was not bright enough to be considered a "daylight running light". Others also had problems with them getting condensation but mine didn't . If you like the way they look . Go for it. But if you're thinking that you're going to get more light... I wouldn't get those . Retrofit is the way to go.

Is Winnipeg close but you ? Ive been following a lot of retrofitting companies that do retrofits on Instagram. There's a guy who has done a lot of tundra ones and he's located in Winnipeg Canada

Hi, great Tundra. I was wondering if any of the mods you made invalidate the warranty? I'd like to make a few changes but don't want to run the risk of cancelling the warranty.

Looking great to date. There's either never enough road or there's someone slow in front of you when your wanting to test out new additions to your truck. I'm wondering now how a BAMuffler might sound on my truck with my DT headers and midpipes? :)

[IMG] Updating the original thread .
40" Rigid Radiance installed in the grill. I know I could've gotten a cheaper bar for far less money but I just didn't want to deal with any issues that occur in the longrun. If something goes wrong with this one at least I can call/email/Instagram/Tweet Rigid anytime. 4wheelparts wanted 200-400 to mount the bar because they said " we would need to fabricate the mounts ". I did some basic measurements and the brackets looked like they would fit perfectly. took the grill off and measured it to drill holes. The bar was rubbing against the middle support in the middle of the grill and it was also lower than I wanted. So I put 1/4 inch spacer between the frame and the bar, the bar was high enough to not rub against the frame. I will post output pictures once i can get it wired up! was going to just post it all at once but couldn't resist.

Nice truck and great , well thought out mods. IMO. the only reason to NOT mod a truck is if you are leasing it.
