    Okay I/we need some clarification. The lower control arm ball joint boots are torn on both sides.
    We have heard and read that you need to replace the lower control arms. We have also been told that the ball joints can be rebuilt.
    Can someone clear this up for me?? Thanks

    I meant to say the ball joints can be replaced.

    What year taco? The boots being torn isn’t a big deal, you really want to check them for play up and down or side to side. I would only replace them

    It's a '13. They have about 128,000 miles on them. We hit the trails about once or twice per month.

    You can change out the BJ. You will have to press them out, which requires a press (removal from Taco).

    Plenty of people just buy the aftermarket arms and swap them out like that.

    To be honest, I haven't gone too far down that road yet. It be great if that is the case about using a BJ press. I have plenty of time though, working from home until the 30th of this month.
