Anyone have a source for a cup holder that will fit a RTIC or yeti medium sized tumbler... the ones that are skinnier at the bottom. I don't know what the Japanese drink out of, but nothing I own fits these damned things. They are all too wide or too narrow.

I feel your pain. Sorry I can't help but they are literally the worse, fits nothing, annoys me daily. My 2004 4runner fit Gatorade bottles, coffee mugs, and every cup. My wife and I were just (re-)complaining about it yesterday. For a $50K+ truck, I'd expect more. Her highlander holders a little better but not much.

I see only two options: get a different tumbler, or buy a truck that fits the one you have:crapstorm:

    Not many yet, mostly stock.
I used some 2” shipping/ packing foam that was black for this problem.
I made paper tin plates of bottom and top. Then cut them out turned out to look like doughnuts. The bottom one I didn’t cut it out I used a small spoon that I used to heat up with a blow dry to make a concaved look to it. Then I just used my exacto knife and cut out a small section all the way round the shape so the can bottom/ lip could sit in it. Stay positioned. The top I used one wrap of two way tape to hold the doughnut shape up place at the top.
I’ve sold my truck so I can’t supply a picture.

I think you could do something similar, perhaps using PVC [or different sizes coupled together to raise the level of the cup holder a little with a notch for your coffee cup handle].

Whatever ... as for me, I have been laboring to build the perfect cup holder for years now ... once I perfect it, I intend to design a truck around it.:monocle:

I used PVC, but switched to a 3" rubber plumbing coupler that I found somewhere on here, just not sure where.

I just came out of a Frontier. They had inserts in the area for cup holders. They fit anything. But that doesn’t help the current situation.

No, they wouldn’t fit. I had to take them out to fit a large Yeti or the insert came up with the tumbler.

Most of the other truck manu's just use rubber, paddle-like appendage' inside the cup holders to accomodate stuff smaller than a giant assed drink or at least a stepped system that accomodates different sizes. I have found nothing that fits a Tundra cupholder...lol

Maybe Musk will get on board and make one... it will probably function, but be ugly as sin and need 48 volts.

We have some of that black foam at work and different thicknesses. May have to give it a shot.

Look at “Bottle pro” from Amazon.
Holds my 1.5 liter water bottles and my 20oz coffee mug securely.
I had to add a thin neoprene koozy on top of the thin one they provide for tighter fit. Works great!

My wife's Venza has a rubber insert in the one cup holder to fit tumbler type cups. It's also removable.
Makes you wonder why Toyota wouldn't just carry that simple product throughout all of their vehicles.

My 1st Gen tundra would hold anything.
I never would have thought that a newer model like my ‘17 would need an add on to do the same thing.

I found in the boat supply section of Walmart plastic cup holder inserts that fit in my 2018 DC console cup holders. They fit perfect, come in black or white hold a large McDonalds coffee really nice no tipping or spilling. I would post a picture if I knew how....lol...If anyone wants a text picture PM me and I'll send you a picture.

Long shot but 4runner’s have removable sleeve inserts. Not sure if they fit the Tundra.

Fits smaller tapered bottles and large yeti style tumblers.

I guess for the same reason all their vehicles except the two trucks have a switch to make the dash lights bright for driving during the day?
