Anyone use the USB port for music? Is there really no way to play by folder?

In my Impreza I keep a low-profile USB stick plugged into the car's USB port. It has a huge library of tunes organized by folders. I'm able to navigate by folder, play folders on repeat, random, etc.. And that's a 2013 Impreza with no touch screen.

I recently tried to do the same with the Tundra. It will play the tunes, and while it will let me navigate or sort by genre, composer, artist, and I forget what else, the most obvious thing, sorting by folders, doesn't seem to be an option.

If there isn't, I guess the best I can do is maybe figure out a way to mass edit the meta data of MP3s in each folder and change the composer or genre or something. Just seems crazy they offer the ability to plug a USB storage device in and play music from it, but I can't navigate by folder.

On the plus side, this is only the second thing I've found so far that I don't like about my truck, and it's still pretty minor. :)
