So I hated how big the mud flaps were on our trucks, but like the idea of them keeping the shit from slinging on the truck. So I shortened them. What do y'all think? They are short enough to be sorta low profile, but still there to keep everything from flying up on the truck...

Will do... I just put them back on, and I don't daily it. We might get her dirty this weekend, we have a field party to go to. I'll post up how bad it gets. Between the spidertrax and this, I'm thinkin it'll get pretty bad.

I like where your 5.7 badge is.
I've got the standard size flaps and have rock chips for days. But I do drive miles of dirt road at times. Good mod I might have to try it out.

Thanks... Fortunately, that's where the 2nd Gen badges were placed. I like them, those are the only badges I left on the truck. I just blacked them out.

A little of this and a little of that.
I like the look on your truck, great job on the flaps. I just don’t know how practical it would be on my truck. I def don’t want rock chips all over the side of my truck. Would work perfectly on a street queen/mall crawler @Jsena , jk. Lol

Seems like your flaps won’t do much good anyways as your tires stick out several inches from underneath the wheel well.

Thanks man,The angle of the pic makes them look like they stick out further than they actually do. They are Rock Warrior wheels with 1.25 SpiderTrax.

You are still going to have fender road rash/potential paint chips or crap flying up on your trucks paint from your tires with your wheel/tire offset unless you run flares. Its hard to avoid. Even with OEM flares you will likely still have the issue. When running wide tires naturally it's just a cause and effect thing.

For this reason I did not alter my m/flaps and added flares, the flaps, flares, and running boards help a lot.
