    Mph loss after lift?

I went from 17mpg with stock tires to 15mpg after I purchased duratracs, now I get 13mpg with a 3" and 2" rear level. Is this normal? I'm okay with it, I love the way she looks now with a slight lift.

    Thanks.

Just a block in the back.

I had 5100 installed in the front and got a 2.9" from the stock height.

I did use a block in the back.

    It's a 2016 crew max. Sr5 trd.

I'm going to toss the front block, everyone on this forum told me it was a bad idea to install it.

I would think it’s normal. Probably more drag on your truck as you drive down the road.

That sounds pretty normal. You’re changing the aero dynamics of your truck. I’m assuming you went with larger tires so that drops millage also.

yep, this is why all the manufacturers are lowering their front ends and using valances. Don't forget if you increased the tire diameter your ODO is reading low and so are MPGs.

Totally normal. Went from averaging 16-17 to averaging 13-14 just by leveling out the front end and going up to 275/70/18.

Eh? My calculations might be off, but you’re about 1000 pounds high there (curb weight). 6500 pounds is F250, 3/4 ton territory. Our little trucks are about the same weight as an average SUV.

I'm getting about the same millage as you shared. I have a similar set up and average right around 15 mpg with a 80 mile round-trip commute to work daily, of which 60 miles is highway at ~70 mph...

My truck hasn't seen it's factory curb weight since I have owned it. Mods equal more weight, (not being snarky).

I have a topper that weighs in at 290lbs (re-enforced roof)
    add wt for bigger tires
add wt for re-gearing and Auburn LSD
    add wt for aftermarket wheels
add wt for the 2-40ish lbs pelican cases I always carry

It all adds up. I am a biscuit heavier that Franco @matictundra

Hmm my math must be wrong then...

    Curb is 5760lbs
    Payload 1440lbs
    Gross 7200lbs

    7200 - 6200 = 1000lbs

With the OEM 275 65 Michelin’s I was getting 18+ on the highway. Actually got 20 on on 40 mile trip in hilly country trying hard to max the mileage. I then went with 275 70s 10 ply AT’s which are a much heavier tire, and a 2-1 lift and saw mileage drop to 16.6 MAX! highway-not tromping on it. I figure to add .5 MPG at most for the larger diameter/mileage error. We have to pay to play
I had a stock Ford ranger with a V6 that got worse mileage in town and the same on the highway.

You want a more aerodynamic stance for better mpg, try this.
