One thing that I have not asked. Insurance cost and registration. How much is the annual registration and the full coverage insurance cost? I know each province are different, but just a ballpark so I have an idea. I am hoping to get another Tundra when I get to the island and give the Sequoia to my wife or son. I'll have three cars in the household.

    TIA!

I have no idea what PEI is like but registration is under $100 a year in Alberta. Definitely shop around for insurance, especially if any insurers have deals with any professional associations you may be a part of. (Could also see if any of them offer deals for alumni of the university your wife attended.) My association recently switched which insurance company they have a deal with; the company we used to be with quoted me $1500 a year to insure my truck and the new one is about $900.

Pod #1 (8X16) showed up last Wednesday and it's full. Pod #2 (8x7) will show up next Wednesday. I do not think it's going to fit the rest of our stuff. Especially, my wood fire oven and my rotisserie.

Sold 6 cars including the Tundra. My front yard is all torn up due to a new septic system. Still need to do WDO, replace the floors, paint, trash out the things we're not keeping. Add brakes to the camper, install lock-n-roll hitch, install additional solar panel, secure charge controller panels. Replace all shocks, brakes, wheel bearing hub, change oil on the minivan. Install trailer brake control for the Sequoia.

    Fun times!

    How did the move go?
I am in Northern California and planing to move to British Columbia early next year.
I have two cars, a 2016 tundra trd pro and a 2013 Prius. I own both of them (bought cash).

I want to bring them both to Canada.
what paper work did you have to do, how long did it take and how much did you have to pay?

I am planing on driving the tundra with a 6x12 uhal trailer and have the Prius shipped to the border, then have my wife drive it in.

both my wife and I have Canadian PR cards.

I'm just now heading up to Maine and cross the border tomorrow.

Go to simplified solutions llc website for your exporting needs. Check the RIV website for your prius. Some model prius are not eligible for export due to mph to kph display.

We'll be stopping at the US customs to export my wife's Oddessy and I'll be exporting my Sequoia and utility trailer when I get permanent residency status.

Made it to Bangor, Maine after midnight. Going to make some coffee and head to the US customs to export my wife's vehicle then to the Canada border crossing in Houlton, ME and will be in Charlottetown, PEI by nightfall.

I guess I'll be expecting Canton Cafe Chinese for dinner or lobsters from water prince.

Just remember that Keith's isn't an IPA.

You should be close enough to Quebec to get your hands on some DDC if you want some really good beer.

It looks like the daily average low there is 14f in Jan/feb. Its been below 0 here and my truck started. I’ve only tried my block heater a couple of times and didn’t notice any difference in starting. Might be wear and tear I can’t see though.

But the block heater is only about $40 and takes 15 min to install. Not much cost or effort if you think you’ll use it.

I was not sure if I'll need it. When I was window shopping for a new Tundra they have an option to add block heater. I was not sure if it's actually needed, or they just capitalize on old tech for the the people think is still needed in newer.

Yes, I do not mind the cost, but I do mind the placement of the wires and receptacles. I'm going to spend more time and money on the mods to make it look OEM than the actual heater. LOL!

    Thanks!

I only plug mine in if it gets down to -20C. Are you likely to see temperatures that cold there?

Does it really take a week for Amazon Prime members to get their online orders in the Maritime or is that just in PEI or due to the pandemic?
