So I park at the Cruise terminal for the weekend in Miami. Upon return on Monday, I start to drive the family North to Orlando. I start to get high temp coolant warnings. I stop at a rest area, and can't see a thing. No steam, no liquid, I smell coolant, and see the reservoir is slightly low. I add 12 ozs of water to the overflow and continue North again. I get almost home and the temp sensor warning goes on again. Each time the temp goes back down within five seconds to normal range. I let the truck sit overnight at the house, and drive into the office next day and coolant temp sensor goes off again. I go straight to Toyota, and they put me in a loaner. After two hours, I get the attached pics.

Damn mouse ate the coolant lines under intake on the valley plate. 1200 miles on the truck. Only upside, was no damage to the engine or any wiring harnesses. $750.00 later, I will have the truck back next Tuesday. Royal Caribbean and the Port have told me they can't control rodent/pest problems, and I'm on my own. Garage is owned and operated by Royal Caribbean. I'm following up with written correspondence and documents this week after I get the truck back.

    Frigg'n Mouse!!!!!!

This is one of the cheapest repairs I have seen. Most are 3000.00 plus.

Holy shit!! Thats fuked up. Just last week, wife started her Suburu, and immediately squeeling and smoke from engine compartment. She looked under hood, and called me. Belt had slipped. I told her call tow. So busy they hadnt showed up for 4 hours. So I got in the truck and went to her at work. While fixing the belt, I discovered the cause of problem. Big male rat, trying to make a warm home. Bad news - for him, he was cut into pieces. Picked his pieces out and fixed the belt. Not a happy camper.
