    I'm trying to decide if I should pull the trigger and just order them right now from XenonDepot or wait until TRS has them. I've had great experience with TRS in the past and have no experience with XenonDepot yet. I have retrofits now but my driver's side ballast has been acting up and I want an upgrade ASAP haha

    I wonder if that 10% code when you go to the xenon depot link would work for those lights?
    They sure are pricey but damn are they beautiful and bad ass. I would consider them at around 800, oh who am I kidding I can't afford 800 lol. I can't wait to see them on someone's tuck and some reviews

    Fair warning...I'd be cautious

    I have special knowledge that everyone needs to listen to this guy....TRS and Morimoto are essentially the same company in a sense. I'll have more info in a few days once packages arrive ;)

    I can’t imagine the lights not being compatible with the most common type of headlight (incandescent DRL).

    To clear up any confusion...

    There will be a harness/adapter (per retrofitsource) that will enable a PRE 18 with halogen lamps. As far as 18+ OEM LED goes ....

    I noticed them saying the lamps won't be compatible quite a while ago, so I reached out to them. Indeed they won't be with just the basic plug n play headlamps. The wonderful people at their shop decided, in conjunction with the manufacturer (Morimoto) to move forward with making a harness that will make them compatible, and wanted to use my truck as a test truck. The order was just placed this morning, as they just received the test harnesses in, and should be shipped out by the end of the week with the XB lights. I'll definitely keep this thread updated with progess and photos...as there is no guarantee the harness will work the first time. They have guaranteed to work with me until it is 100% correct.

    My vote goes to waiting for theretrofitsource, plus group discount whenever that will be available...per OP

    If you've had good experiences with a particular business, I'd stick with 'em AND let 'em know that you're doing so. Who knows, they may be less expensive? I can't imagine it will be a long wait if XD has them now.

    They will work on all the 3rd gens. It would be silly for them to exclude more than half the potential consumer base.



    From TRS site:
    OPTIONAL NON-DRL RELAY: If your truck has the DRL on the turn signals (amber) and not an LED strip at the bottom of the headlight, you will need to select this optional relay. This is a factory Toyota part that replaces the stock turn signal relay under the steering wheel, and eliminates the DRL on the turn signal circuit. The XB LED headlights have a fuse tap to add the DRL function to the lights by default.

    You'll be fine. Just will need an extra harness or repinning of a wire or two. Similar to how the harnesses for the 2018+LED headlights are different for platinum/1794 and sr5, pro, limited. They just will take an extra step or two and a few more bucks to make them work
