I think I just read cinnamon pass is closed due to mudslides. Check all the trails in CO. But there are plenty open to enjoy!

Jealous. I was there last year backpacking. Would love to bring the Tundra out there one day!

There’s a section closed between Sherman (the Hinsdale County Road 30 winter closure gate) and below American Basin.

Engineer Pass (CR 20) is open and you can still get to Am Basin from Cinnamon Pass. Otherwise it’s open. Still plenty of snow up there in places.

Updates on the slides/sinkhole are being posted to the “Hinsdale County, Colorado” FB page.

The avalanche paths and debris fields on the Lake City/Hinsdale side of Engineer Pass are wicked impressive. Photo is from May, but gives you some idea.

Check out this awesome webpage from one of the local jeep rental companies to figure out exactly what is open, or not, around Ouray: https://soajeep.com/trail-maps-conditions/

Do you know what trails you like to do?

This would be my fourth time in this area and have done all of them... I was really looking to see if anyone else will be riding trails out in both places as well
