After I did read a lot on here and after I got my Tundra early this year (2017 SR5 CrewMax) I guess it is time to slowly transform him/her? to perfectly serve my needs.

That being said, the Tundra would not need much changes, I need it (at the moment) not as daily driver but more for recreational usage such as towing the boat or moving big stuff from A to B or go to vacation and take all the stuff of tne family with us.

I however cannot withstand to add a few things here or there, just because it's fun and it is part of the hobby.

What I did do far (last update: September 13th, 2018):
    • Swaybar
    • Bed cover
    • New grille
    • Built in battery charger
    • Alpine Headunit
    • Bottom coverage/conservation against salty roads with kind of wax (at least it smells like that if engine/exhaust are hot)
    • TRD Pro Exhaust
    • Fender Flares
    • TRD Sport Headlights with harness from iHacker
    • Under seat storage
    • Custom vargo tie down system

    Coming changes:
    • Line X (full body including bed)
    • Maybe some interior Line X
    • New wheels
    • Bumper & winch
    • Lift?
Will keep you updated, might have some questions as well since I am not experienced at all in the field of offroading respectively overlanding.

    Cheers, Beni

Oh, I did forget one mod, it is a plug and a battery charger which is mounted permanently to the truck so if the truck is not used I can plug it to a wall outlet and the battery is being charged all the time

Really interested to see how the full body Line-X coating comes out. Been thinking about it myself.

I wonder how many extra pounds all that line-x will add?

Ok, kicked out Seicane headunit and all the cheap cables and antenna (I purchased with the Seicane) and had an Alpine X802D-U headunit installed at a local shop. They did a very nice job with the matching frame as well as with soldering a custom harness so that I can still use the OEM GPS antenna and the analog radio antenna for the digital radio as well.

Yesterday I tried one of these folding ramps but it was not wide and strong enough. Going to buy a wide one and than my only concern is ground clearance of bike

Yup. The narrow single ramps are iffy. My buddy has 2 wide ramps that clamps into 1 & it's as wide as the bed but storage wise it takes up alot of room in the bed.
