If I remember correctly, it's not the original engine.

I bought my first Toyota, a Tacoma, after one of my customers told me about his Tundra. The dealer made him a deal he couldn’t refuse on his 06 Tundra with 799k miles with no major issues. He walked out with a steal of a deal on a new 2015 tundra. He would’ve kept that thing forever if they didn’t bug him so much. It’s still sitting on the dealers showroom floor last I heard.

I have a small fleet of around 30 vehicles, all are serviced by the same guy. We run mostly Tacoma's, our shop guy has said that without exception every truck he services over 500k has been a Toyota (I think he had a Honda but obviously wasn't a truck). I remember 3 years ago or so I inherited a bunch of Ford stuff, F150's and the like. Not one had 200k on the clock and all were falling to pieces. Our Ford Transits had transmissions shitting themselves, the Focus and Escapes had issues stalling or transmissions slipping. Always in the shop. Who knows...Ford Tough? Not by my experience.
