Time to make a tough decision....finish off the truck mods or upgrade the boat...

Thinking the truck would look much better pulling one of these.

Haha we have a whole army of Mikes/Michaels on here. Looks like alien gear makes one for my Sig, thanks for adding another Christmas present to myself on my list lol! That little "cloak dock" mounting kit may come in handy too.

Been looking for a comfortable IWB for long periods of time, my Remora holster is nice for running in and out of places but I don't feel comfortable enough with it to carry all day if I'm going to be active.

I assume no rub with the TRD wheels on the basic suspension? I got a set of TRD take-offs for my Platinum and am planning on running a 27/70R18 stock to see if I like it, then 5100 if needed....

    Great looking rig.

Thanks! I only went about a day with the 275/70/18 before I had my 5100's installed so don't remember exactly how bad they rubbed but it was minimal. May require some trimming of the liner up front and removal of the front mudflap thing.

Check out this thread I made for tips on trimming it up. Some people posted links to their threads inside it which had better pictures etc. that I followed to make it a little easier.

Thanks. So it seems like just removing the front flap should do the trick? I can trim if needed, but would rather do the minimum vs. going crazy with the dremel....

Should be okay but mine rubbed ever so slightly when turning on the front fender liner if I remember correctly. Not enough to cause concern but enough to hear it rub the plastic on a full lock.

Went back to the spot that the first pic of my Tundra was ever taken the day after I drove it home. A little before and after - 4 years later.

Very nice build! I bought my 2014 SR a month ago. My first mod will be to add intermittent wipers!!! Next I would like to swap my stock headlights for the TRD OEM headlights and add fog lights... again OEM. Like you said I want to keep my SR looking stock.

Your truck looks awesome! So the final pic is with 5100s on middle setting- I assume so? I guess my TRD off road tundra sits higher stock than what yours stood stock, correct? I'm trying to figure out if I did a 3/1 level with 275/70/18's if it would look decent.

Thanks! Yep final is with 5100’s on middle setting but I plan to go with 6112’s on the 1.9” setting in the future. If I had the 5.7l instead of the 4.6 I would probably stuff 295/70/18 instead with a 3/1.

Thanks Chief! Planning on adding fogs myself eventually.

Why if you had the 5.7L would you go that route? I'm stupid when it comes to this. :)

Just don’t want the extra weight of them to make the truck sluggish. Don’t have to worry with the 5.7 but the 4.6 is lacking a little in off the line speed and acceleration as is, heavier tires would just add to it.

Just do it I’ve got 285/70/18s (33.9x11.4) on my SR with the 6112s it rides a lot better and I didn’t feel any power loss. It’s a totally different truck now.

Welp today I finished the best mod of all. Paid off the rest of the truck loan. A fine reason to start early on this Friday afternoon.

    Cheers!

Can’t believe it’s been over 7 years now with my Tundra. 131k miles so far. Been a while since I’ve made any modifications but I’ll be swapping out my 5100’s with 6112s and 5160s here in the next couple weeks and replacing a squeaky ujoint (no grease fittings on 2WD = lame)
