Hello everyone. I've been looking around on these forums for the last few nights at work. I have been shopping Tundras for the last week and getting closer to biting the bullet and getting one. Hard decision on which one to get. Think I have decided on the 2017 Blazing Blue Tundra 4X4 SR5 Crewmax FFV with the Safety and Convenience package, SR5 Upgrade package and the TRD Off-Road Package. Going to look at 2 at 2 different dealers tomorrow. Trying to get the best deal I can. Hate dealing with car salesman. If anyone has any pointers for tomorrow's adventure let me know. Thanks and look forward to becoming one of the Tundra crew.

Welcome to the site brother and nice choice!!

I would keep an eye and ear out on any bullshit they may try to sell you, don't take shit, don't be afraid to walk out or bring them another quote from another dealership, get EVERYTHING in writing even quotes they may say with their signature, and don't rule out looking in other states for a better deal.

Good luck and have fun!! Can't wait to see your truck!!

Look around the forum and find out a few things that you may want to add to the truck. After you haggle em down on the price and they wont go any lower tell em "throw in this and its a deal". Depending whats already on the truck you could ask them to add something like a TRD Sway Bar, steps, etc. and they will most likely go for it.

Well I have a quote from one dealership of $40,941 with another $500 off for military. This is the one I'm looking at.

Thanks bro. This site is toxic cause I have all these ideas of what I want to do to it once I get it and I haven't even sat in it. LOL. I know it needs to be de-chromed.

Yeah I'm not sure if it's a good deal here in CO or not. MSRP they have on the sheet is 45. Would love to get them down to about 38. Going to play the dealers on each other and let them battle it out on getting me the best price.

Starting at invoice and working up is a good way to deal. I understand they have to make some money. A decent dealer will show you that and come to agreement from there. Better than going in blind and hoping you got a good deal while the salesman is planning a vacation. Dealership I worked at would usually do $500 over invoice. They still get dealer incentives and dealer hold backs and kicks from Toyota. End of month some dealers need the "number" and will make things happen just to turn iron. Good luck!

Thanks. And one has shown me his price for one of the trucks we were looking at a few nights ago. And they are the ones that are dropping almost 5k on the quote. The other dealer I haven't been to but going to them first to see what kinda feel I get for them. And thank. I will need it I think.

That quote is exactly what I paid for my Double Cab Limited TRD Off Road. Not sure how much the Crewmax adds to the price, but I would think you could get an SR-5 Upgrade TRD OR for a bit less than $41K. I see that you're military. Are you a USAA member, and if so have you considered their car buying service?

Both of these dealers are certified USAA dealers and I have already gotten the cert. The USAA price is what he quoted me.

OK, I guess the Crewmax is the main factor in the price difference then. USAA price should be hard to beat.

I haven't gotten the USAA pricing from the other dealer yet. That's the dealership I'm going to first tomorrow. Got a 1315 appt with them and then a 1500 appt with the other one.

There are so many things I could ask for. Not going to lift it too much but def want to get it leveled. Maybe a TRD pro grill, sway bar, steps, beefier tires. The choices are unlimited. LOL.
For leveling what would you guys recommend?

AutoNation and Groove. Mountain State didn't have any Blazin Blue. But I think they do have a dark gray that we might check out.

Print out your quote and walk to the next dealer with it. Then get his quote and go back to the first dealer. Let them fight it out lol

My plan. Got the quote from Autonation that I'm taking to Grooves first. Then theirs to Autonation.

Just a little SW from here. Dark gray is a cool color; that was my second option. I feel you decide to deal with Mountain States, ask for Sean Kramer. Tell him Jose Osuna from Corr-Jensen (my old job) sent ya. He'll hook you up.

Nope. Have dealt with Ed Freehart (he was moved to BMW) and Sean Kramer.
