Pretty much a turnkey CB system!

Everything is a little over a year old.

Silly question, but if I get a 12v inverter can it be used outside of a vehicle? Like in my garage?

also what is the range roughly?

I don’t see why you couldn’t make it work with a 12v adapter. The power cord from the back is just a positive and ground, you should be able to splice those into a power pack that plugs into the wall.

Range is tough to estimate. And they make special “home base” antennas for CBs that are used in a building. The firestik that I had in mine is supposed to be something like 10-15 miles range, but home base antennas can get you 15-50 miles. Plus you can take the radio to a CB shop and get it juiced up to seriously increase the range.
