Microphone on Kenwood HU not working

Hi all. Got a dnx574s hu installed it, went to test the mic and nothing. I can hear the other person but they can't hear me at all. I had the same issue with my dmx7705s

 

Are you using the factory microphone or the one that came with the headunit?

How are you able to use both microphone? I have a Kenwood ddx 9903s and i couldn't use the factory microphone.

 

I'm with @13igtymer I also had to use the keenwood one as well. Amd in some head units you will have to go into settings and turn it on. Other then that not sure .

 

Just try using the Kenwood microphone. I have mine installed in between the sun visor and the rear view mirror. I wish I could have use the factory microphone phone. It would look cleaner.

 

What I meant was, I used the factory one with the dmx7705s and I had another one for dnx574s. I've plugged the mics into the computer to test the second one and it worked. What's the setting to turn it on?

 

On my Kenwood dnx893s I had to do an update to solve a couple issues. Microphone being one of them.

I guess I'll try that, I also ordered another mic just to see if it does anything.
