Anyone use them on a tundra with Bilstein 5100 up front? The Bilstein/mevotech combo is popular with the Ram guys.

I'm driving a 4x2 as a daily driver so I don't need super advanced off road capable expensive UCAs. The mevotechs have a decent reputation on other trucks when combined with a bilstein 5100. I was curious if the same were true on tundras.

What's your point other than not off-roading a lot.

The wheels driven means nothing. Knowing how to drive will do far better for you than relying on a system.

Never have heard of the company.

My point is if I'm driving on pavement with just bilstein 5100s for leveling why buy $1000 UCA's that are for 3 inch lifts or more, that are designed for off road conditions? Surely there is some middle ground option which is why I asked about the mevotechs.

There is. The bushing TC that's 750$, or Camburg. Take your pick.

There is a reason why so many people go with one of the big 3, the third being Icon. They offer the greatest adjustability when it comes to getting your truck back in alignment and they have the best reputation.

So now that I've actually looked up what they are, they offer nothing more than a stock replacement. No further adjustability, no nothing. Just an OEM knockoff.

Unless I'm missing something with the Mevotech UCAs, they are just OE replacements.
    What year is your truck?
How high do you plan on lifting the front?

If you're just looking to level the front, i.e. 2 inches, you don't need to replace your current UCAs unless they're worn out.

Most people will tell you that any front lift over 2.5 inches, you should purchase aftermarket UCAs.
Aftermarket UCAs are necessary to correct castor and to align the front end to factory specs.

Ram guys are already used to purchasing the 4th or 5th best option rather than #1.

You don't need new UCAS with just some 5100's. No point.

I thought they were supposed to be more durable than OEM, but if they are unnecessary then I won't waste my money. I only plan to add 5100s and my truck is a 2016. Thanks for the info.

If you are leveling out the front end with the 5100's you should be just fine with your factory uppers.
If you do end up needing UCA's I would recommend going with the SPC uppers, they are a factory style control arm with a factory style ball joint with greaseable zerk to help keep the suspension flowing properly. They are a completely adjustable UCA to help insure your truck is properly aligned the first time without any issues.

Here is a link to them so you can check them out: http://toyteclifts.3dcartstores.com...e-upper-control-arms-for-07-Tundra_p_198.html
