McGregor Khabib fight! Thoughts? Spoiler alert.

Seriously wtf just happened? Obviously it was a win by Khabib. It was a boring ass fight and I hate his style. Felt like watching a Mayweather fight. Khabib won fair and square but with a style I can’t respect personally. But the shit that went down afterwards was just disrespectful. I get it there is shit talking before fights, that’s just how it is. There doesn’t need to be a handshake afterwards, although I would prefer. But that shit was just ridiculous. I hope they strip the title from him. They should make it a draw and have a rematch.

 

WTF happened? I was really hoping Connor was gonna whip Khaboobs ass.

 

Dude he got Connor with the neck crank. He kept tying Connor’s legs up the entire time with the ground game. But then Khabib jumped the fence and went after Connors trainer I think or someone in the audience. Then his boys came in the ring and tried to jump Connor.

 

Really!? Connor tapped? They must be still pissed about the attack on the shuttle bus.

 

How did Ferguson do?

 

Now that was a good fight! They traded blows back-and-forth. Ferguson is a beast! Although he sounds like an idiot when he talks afterwards LOL

 

Yep it looks like a rear naked choke but it was just a neck crank and Connor tapped. Obviously he didn’t want to die. I really hoped Connor was going to beat the ever living shit out of that guy.

 

Ferguson is one of the best pure boxers in the UFC. He good everywhere tho and seems better every time out. But he's definitely not the brain trust.

 

Me too! If you thot this fight was vitriolic, wait for the rematch.

Fight wasnt even close. I doubt we’ll see a rematch. Congrats to khabib, nobody can stop him. His style isn’t the most exciting but he’s one tough sob. Let emotions get to him and ruined the moment at the end. Great fights though

 

Why wouldn't they have a rematch? When Connor lost to Nate Diaz the first thing he wanted was a rematch. Khabib wouldn't want the payday??? He'd be not too.

 

Khabib won it fair. Wasn't exciting but he gave Connor a chance to box, Connor couldn't take advantage.

As for the shit at the end, a few people got punched. They're fighters, should have saw it coming and they are still alive. Khabib won points for his fence hopping skills.

 

How is no one talking about Derrick Lewis's post fight interview?!? That has to be the most ridiculous interview I've ever seen. First they have to ask him to put his pants back on and then he asks to smoke up with Rogan...priceless!! The sh*t show after the Mcgregor fight was horrible. I get the bad blood between the two but you have to be a professional. Personally, I think they should give Kahbib the win (he won no questions asked) but strip him of the belt. Any other platform and he would have been DQ'd. Dana did the right thing by not giving him the belt tonight. All hell would have broken loose. I would not want to be a drunk UFC fan walking the streets of Vegas tonight.

 

Completely missed the Lewis post fight interview. I was pouring whiskey shots and grabbing a fresh beer, but was really happy that he stuck it out and won. He seemed like he was gonna get beat down in the first round but he stuck it out.

 

It was a horrible fight, until 11 seconds were left in the round!

 

Conor got his ass whooped for every single second, he didn’t stand a damn chance. That was one of the worst if not the worst title fight I’ve ever seen. And the post fight shenanigans were entertaining but after all the shit Conor talked I thought it was awesome. You run your mouth for that long and then don’t even show up to the fight? They’re going to suspend Khabib til 2020. Then set up Conor vs Nate round 3. And if Conor loses that fight his career is done. He’s already close to being Rhonda rousey. Good thing for him is I think the WWE will hire him

 

P.S for those of you that didnt see the post fight interview... google search Derrick Lewis post fight interview. Look for the link from Sporting News. They have the full unedited version. Also, just to give some context. Literally after the fight was ended, the first thing Lewis did was take his shorts off?? The interview starts with him standing in the ring with his shorts over his shoulder and a coordinator asking him kindly to put them back on. Enjoy.

 

Completely agree... I wouldn't be surprised if McGregor pays the penalty to end his contract. We may not see him fight in the octagon again. He accomplished what he set out for, I'm honestly not sure his drive is still there. He's seen the bigger pay days, $3M or so is nothing at this point.

He did look tired and not as exuberant as he once was. When you’re at the bottom you’ve got that hunger to win. Like an orphan trying to make his way to the top. He’s got it all and he’s a little older. I was disappointed.

That was the best. Conner fight sucked. The Lewis fight and the Ferguson fight were the fights of the night.

 

At least I got my moneys worth. lol
