Something happened a couple weeks ago and it turns out that the TRDPro is not a fan of a hot stone massage. I'm going to stay away from the fine details, so let's just say that I drove off a cliff.
    Wrecker.jpg
I was perfectly fine, but the same cannot be said for my truck. Insurance decided to total it. For anyone else with a TRDPro, contact your insurance company and ask how they value it, you may not be happy with the answer. Most TRDPros are selling used for the same if not more than they sold for new.
Since replacing my truck with another '17 Cement Pro wasn't going to be possible, it was a tough decision what to get, but I finally settled on a Cement Limited.
    New_Truck.jpg
It is going to take some work to get it off-road ready, but with the BASTRDS helping me spend money, we'll get it done. Stay tuned for what is sure to be an interesting transformation.

I got my lights and ham radio. Tomorrow I'm going to the yard where they are storing it to get my sliders and skid plates.

What really sucks was the wheels and tires, they only had about 1000 miles on them. I feel bad about trashing a set of Ray10s. If they weren't screwed up, I would try to swap them over.

They are scraped up. I made a deal with my insurance company about the exact things that I'm allowed to take.

It will be nice to have some of the '18 and Limited features, but it isn't my Pro. It is going to take a while for me to suck it up and get over it.

That is the debate going on in my head and wallet right now. King 2.5 vs. King 3.0 vs. ADS 3.0.

LoL personally I would go King 2.5’s with a quality leaf pack. 3.0’s are just too big to fit nicely under there without it possibly hitting other components. Doesn’t it make you wonder why all the 3.0’s say for off-road use only? But 3.0’s are the shits though!

Valuation is based upon "comparable" vehicle sales. They look at sales of Tundras to determine the overall depreciation and then adjust the value for your exact truck. I kept having to explain that an SR5 or Limited were not comparable to my truck and provided listings for TRDPros that were for sale. They increased the valuation, but not enough to replace my truck with another TRDPro. The settlement coupled with the difficulty in finding a Pro to actually buy, made me switch to a new Limited.

Every time I look at the sticker on the side of the bed, I'm going to miss the stamp. Operation kill the chrome, will be starting soon. First will be the badges, I need to decide between Plastidip, overlays, or new badges. For the grill and surround, I might wait until the '19 Pros are out to see if I like that grill in person. Front bumper end caps might get solved with a new bumper, at least the rear bumper is color matched. For the mirrors and door handles, I'm leaning towards black rather than color matched.

First order of business for spending more money is suspension. King vs. ADS. Waiting for a couple of responses from vendors for cost and lead times, so that I can make my decision.

mall sensors on the limited right?
get the caps wrapped, maybe the bulge and stuff wrapped too wont be perfect but im sure there is something close. BMW/Audi has thise Nardo grey looks close but have to see in person side by side in light to say they match... Im sure you can find some used black handles floating around. Those are easy to swap out.

Don’t plastidip your badges. Just remove them or get the overlays. Hey I have my dark grey SR5 grille insert if you need to get rid of the giant chrome one on yours. At least until you replace it.

I vote for getting rid of the badges and bed stickers. I don't like driving a billboard. Black handles and mirror caps sound good to me, no paint to get messed up by bushes. I think you'll need some new pinstripes before you can put a sticker on the new truck?
