Appears to be another available supercharger for the 3UR-FE. Anyone have any info. Specifically the differences in the models?

The said something about more injectors..... I don’t know about 1/2 my current fuel economy...... but it kinda sounds fun.

While i dont have any experience with a blower on my tundra I do have some experience with superchargers on my mustang's. I currently run a tvs 2300 on my cobra and it's a bad mf'er. The 2650 is even better but just like other big blowers it needs to be spun to seen gains over the smaller models. Anything under 20lbs and they all make roughly the same power. You are limited by fuel and timing.
Also I dont see a need for 16 injectors. I make over 700 on e85 with 8 id1050 injectors with plenty of room to spare. Cars idles better that stock too and has great street manners.
Bottom line is I'm sure it's nice but I'm not sure there is much gain over the magnuson unless you are building a long block

DAPs website has it for about 6 or 7k. The Australian link is for their currency which puts it at about $6600 US. About the same price of the Magnussen

But they also added long tube headers and custom exhaust which if you did the same to the Magnuson you would be in the same 525RWHP range. At the end of the day similar products, similar results I am sure both are great. I have been running a Magnuson for 40K miles and have zero complaints works great.

I've been looking at the Harrop SC. I'm thinking that's the route I want to go as well.

I'm curious whether the IA temps are lower because of a more effective intercooler or because of a more efficient scroll design. Sounds like maybe both.

Don’t think it matters. Go with whichever you like. I think I would go whichever is cheaper if I were doing all over again today. All good.

If enough interest in a Harrop SC, maybe a group buy in 8-12 months?

My Raptor fever has cleared up and now saving $$$ towards Tundra mods.

Does the HARROP has it available for a 2017 FF version of the tundra? I know MAGNUSON does. It will make sense since FFV is equipped already with bigger fuel pump and injectors. I only use 89 octane ethanol free gas anyway.

Yes, I did have to go with larger injectors and a larger fuel pump to get proper air to fuel ratios. The tuner shop I used said they didn’t understand how Magnuson determined the stock injectors and fuel pump were sufficient for the supercharger. They also said the stock fuel rail system wasn’t ideal but it was ok. Keep in mind the shop I used does crazy high horsepower builds from the ground up a lot. If you do larger injectors, larger fuel pump and a custom tune I would factor in $2k-$3.5k for all the work to be done at a shop. So it adds a lot of extra cost quick. Just my .02 from my experience.

I have the TRD which is the Magnuson with a TRD cover plate. It puts out plenty of extra power. With the BullyDog Magnuson Tune its about 50 hp more than the stock TRD tune. So its not hurting for power. Even with the Raptors weight advantage the Tundra walks away.

According to Magnuson FFV does not need to have injectors or fuel pump changed. FFV motors are supposed already have larger injectors versus a non FFV. When I took my tundra to the tuner to get everything dialed in for my full exhaust they couldn’t get the proper fuel to the motor without it running to lean. So I went with their recommendations to change the injectors and fuel pump. Maybe not ever FFV tundra needs it but I didn’t want to risk running my Tundra motor to lean.

The injectors and fuel pump for the FFV are larger than stock by a large margin. This is due to ethanol requirements to enrich fuel mixture to maintain the same a/f ratios as gasoline. So under normal conditions the Magnuson S/C has a switch that engages the fuel pump to run in it's high flow setting. Creating the fuel enrichment required for the higher boost levels. Toyota's TRD set up did not use the fuel enrichment switch. But the Magnuson kit does. I added it to mine with the Bullydog FFV tune. Hence the reason the Magnuson/Bullydog set up is tuned for 50 additional horsepower.

    Thanks for the explanation.

I've been considering the FFV Magnuson but seen people who really bash the FFV tune.

Looks like you're happy with it. Any complaints?

I was one of the first people to do the FFV conversion. Originally we had a Unichip piggyback ECU set up. I have changed it several times to get it up to the latest and greatest along the way. I'm pretty elated with it. It has a few quirks. Shift points are a little funky. But overall it's a riot. The truck definitely surprises a lot of cars.
