I’m considering getting LT versus P-metric tires for my truck. Are there any concerns with TPMS if I run them at an LT-ranged pressure (>60psi)? I just don’t know if a higher PSI will freak the truck out even if all tires are within the same range (and is there a TPMS sensor in the spare—if so, it’d be at a lower P-metric PSI, so...??)

    Thanks!

Per the owners manual on TPMS, you should be able to benchmark a different tire pressure. Page 496 should help with the process.

Hello. I don't know what your plans are with the tires but the standard pressure for the Tundra is all you need. Granted the tires are rated to 45 or more but that is max rated pressures. Other than that you shouldn't have a problem, I run E range tires due to sharp rocks and running through the woods with a bed load with no issues but I use 33 psi which is what my truck is suggested for.

    Boss plow. Tows trailers everyday.
After 100,000 miles I've not had any TPS issues.

I run mine at 46-50. In fact that is what the door sticker says for KO2s as OEMs. Same on my Tacoma. My TPMS will like up below about 40.
