Getting close to pulling the trigger on a lighting set-up. Lights will mainly be used for fire roads/backroads. Just looking for safety from critters crossing the street, hazards in the road, etc.

Having a hard time deciding between a 30" bar in the lower grille or putting 2 lights on a light bar (n-fab or similar)

The S8 is brighter, but the LP's will both provide some peripheral lighting, which might be good in my situation as I'm concerned with things on the side of the road as much as, if not more, than things way, way down the road. Two other pros for the S8 are the cost and that having it in the lower grille keeps it both a little more protected and away from prying hands.

You're correct - the LP9 and LP6 will provide more peripheral lighting compared to the S8 Light Bar. The IPT technology really shines out far and is great for cornering and detecting things that might enter the roadway.

While the lumen count is less on the LP's, they do have the larger High Speed Spot reflector which provides a more focused beam and more usable light down range. This is great for detecting wildlife down range and reacting earlier.

All 3 options are great! My recommendation would be the LP6 or LP9 since the IPT technology would be very beneficial to your application.
