We had to put our beloved Labradoodle, Casey, down today. She was my best friend for the past 11 years. Losing her is like losing a member of our family. Much sadness here..... We will have to take it one day at a time...Y'all please pray for us..

    Ron,

We are so very sorry. The worst part is loosing a 4 legged family member. No doubt Casey had a great life with lots of love.

Thanks, Steve. Yes, Sir, any pet of ours is loved, well-cared-for, and appropriately spoiled. The way I feel now, though, is that it will be some time before I even consider getting another dog. We get too attached to them.

Sorry to hear that. I had to bury my son's 2 year old black/brown male Chihuahua this morning. Got ran over two blocks away. I saw a small dog lying dead on the street when I was going to the store this morning. It was "Blackie" Son's girl friend kept letting the little dog get out. "He always comes back not a big deal". Not today. Not sure how soon I'll be talking to her again. F**king pissed. I'm not big on Chihuahua's but I really liked Blackie and so did my grand kids. They don't know yet.

Damn, Matt, I hate to hear that! That is a tough deal. I don't mean to be critical of your Son's girlfriend, but that is so unnecessary. I hope your Grandchildren are ok.

One of the hardest things we as parents of our 4 legged children is to know that we all will have to go through this. While I know nothing I can say will make it easier on you and your family, prayers and thoughts to you, your family and Casey. The 11 years of love and affection will always be special but remember long as you think of her, she will always be with you in heart and mind.

Sorry sir. I've had one go on me naturally, on its own, in my dad's arms, and had to put the wife's family's down. It ain't easy either way. These creatures are certainly family members to us. My condolences.

(My sister's puppy is currently in the hospital with an abscess in her stomach and fluid in her lungs and abdomen. Very touch and go).

It's OK to be critical. She is the mother of three of my gkids. My son has already split because of her lack of compassion when it comes to animals let alone how she wants to raise the grand kids. Blackie was not an ant. I haven't been too active here the last few days. Lining up my lawyer ducks. I'll win. The loss of Blackie is just more ammo. I'm too old for this shit. I was raised on a small 72 acre ranch/farm. It's one thing to lose a calf or foal. It happens. Bad enough. This incident was the last straw. Casey was a beautiful dog/friend and at least had a chance to have a long good life. Has to hurt bad. I'm with you.
