I am close to pulling the trigger on a Dirty Deeds exhaust set up for the TRD Pro. On the fence about going full send and making a move on long tube headers as well.

Any of y'all done the TRD replacement exhaust?

How bout headers on a Tundra? Pros? Cons?

Does the truck start throwing codes? Will you need to take it to a tuner to dyno/tune it for either.....just the exhaust or actual long tubes?

Tha is for any info y'all can provide.

Live in a neighborhood. Already have my go fast toy. Will tow my approx 6000 pound travel trailer a bit more the closer I get to retirement.

I did buy the extended Toyota warranty which I am guessing the headers may violate. Thanks again for feedback.

I have Stainless Works long tubes, had custom mid pipes made with OE cats and modified factory TRD cat back with x pipes.

    Pros:
    - power, you can feel the power
    - MPG, it actually improved fuel consumption by quite a bit, with re-gearing and 35s, I'm often in 16mpg in hand calculated all around driving.

    Cons:
    - Costs and time, I did the headers install myself, took lot longer than I thought, took me 2 full days.
    - if you don't re-use factory cats, on newer trucks it'll throw a code, I used the cats that came with the kit, I could not avoid the CEL no matter what foulers I used, and with aftermarket cats the truck is loud, like NASCAR level loud.

After all I had done, it sounds like newer stock AMG V8s, I love it, if you are going with headers, make sure do the custom mid pipes that Keith offers.

I went with ARH LT's here, took me solo 6hrs to install.

No tuner is needed although some have mentioned it is I confirmed safe AFRs on factory tune but you will get the most out of them with a tune.

If you do LTs follow through with full 3in out back. I originally had the header collector neck down to 2.5 at midpipe then exiting out the back at 2.5. After welding a 3in flange to midpipe followed by dual 3in out back the difference was night and day. The Torque gain was felt for sure.

I had a CEL with the supplied ARH Cats alone then tried a generic defouler which didn't cure it. I went with Vibrant J bend defouler and stepped down to the medium insert and never saw a CEL since.

The largest concern was noise level increase. It sounds crazy if you don't address the exhaust further. Even the quiet TRD exhaust would become unbearable so would advise custom or Deeds recommendation. I ended up at 3in X-Pipe with dual 18in Borla XR's (3in) and dual 3in Vibrant UQ resonators at tailpipes with 2 Helmz rez in-between and totally happy.

In the end I thought it was worth it especially for NA focused goals like myself. Don't forget if you have plans to SC later than skip LTs because they don't gain additional power according to many who have tried.

    Hello,

It would be best to talk to Keith about pricing and options. He is out of the office most days, but is always available via phone. You can call or text him anytime at 760-877-4234. He does take many calls and texts a day, but is very good at getting back to everyone. Unfortunately, emails are just last to be responded to. Thank you for understanding.

    Thanks, Shawna

We are running a Group Buy on JBA Headers. Only a few sets left and this pricing will be gone.

Do you use a tune or higher octane gas?

Tuning option wasn't available then for 2020+ trucks, so I just drove around as it was with octane 87 until I got the supercharger.
