It's been awhile since I have posted, it's good to be back on this forum. As with most things in life the more you learn the better it gets. I am a very strong proponent of the freedom and right to bear arms. Being an avid shooter and Hunter, I decided to look around for a way to secure my firearm(s) pistols or revolvers in my 14 Tundra crewmax. Found this company in San Antonio called "Locker-down". Just a personal note; I conceal carry and don't subscribe to leaving a revolver or pistol just laying on my console or holstered somewhere in my cab. I always carry concealed on my person. If I need to make a hasty egress from my truck for whatever reason I want my pistol secured on me, not me looking for it somewhere in my cab. Surely gents to each his own.
There are times when I may have to secure an important docs, iPad, CD's, additional weapon, ammo, binoc's, range finder etc in my cab. I found the locker-down vault to be the ticket for my needs. It's a very serious vault easy to install and heavy duty. Hope this helps anyone considering a nice vault. High quaility vault. Ordered and it was drop shipped in 4 days to my door. Considering the rifle locker down which installs under the rear seat. Made in USA. FWIW....

How much room is inside the safe? Enough for ammo, pistol, owners manual, napkins, gloves etc?

Ok I'll start with dumb question #1. Can you still access the 12v port in the console with this setup? I would assume they would make a hole for it but I cant seem to find a picture showing that...

This vault is laser matched/measured to the fit console interior precisely. Even slotted for 12 vplug inside console. So essentially no loss of space. 15 min install tops, and bolts into the floor using (4) hardened longer bolts supplied with vault. It bolts directly into the OEM console floor. Remove OEM bolts add the longer hardened bolts supplied with vault.

And Yes, enough room for all you mentioned and much more. I would buy again in a minute. A really tuff powder coated finish. Hope this helps!

A small area cut out of the 12 volt access inside vault. Also a closer pic of the tuff well done powder coat finish. Word of caution, if you order, follow combo setting instructions very carefully. The instructions are crystal clear, but... If you accidentally lock the safe and don't have the combo set, you now own a heavy cold rolled steel empty vault. There is nothing they can do for you. The plus side is its not at all hard to set the combo. The instructions are easy to follow.

Thanks! I have the same feelings about carrying. I don't drive my truck much, but sometimes I have to leave something important in the truck, and locking the glovebox doesn't give me the confidence this bad boy would.

I have no affiliation with locker-down..learned about them in my former career, but like to pass it forward on a great product. They did give me 10% off being a retired LEO. I do not know if this is still available, never hurts to ask. Any other questions, glad to help. Also the combo lock is nice in that you click one number that only YOU know, and your in quickly as the spring loaded heavy steel door opens fast. You will be pleasantly surprised at how heavy this vault is, I was.

I have the same safe and it is awesome. I have the same lock you have too. I heard those are really easy to pick. So i am considering changing out to one of their key locks. I have the double cab so i also want their rear long gun safe. Looks even deeper then the stock plastic box.
I modified the dividers on amazon to fit my safe and i have it packed with all kinds of edc stuff.

You should set the combo before install. If you follow the basic instructions it's super easy just take your time. You'll be fine.

Yep, awesome vault as stated. Honestly I never heard or read anywhere that the combo was easy to pick. I know I will never loose the combo, keys sometimes they do get lost. And one flick of a certain number I am in my vault much faster than "Barney Fifing" a key ;). Just depends on how quick you want access.
My main use is securing my "BUG" or multiple BUGS  and anything I want secured.
    Cheers!
