I heard there was a thread on here about Line X covered bumpers but have been unable to find it with the search tool.

Can someone post a link, provide photos, or provide a URL to more info?

    I appreciate it!

I’m going to do a Raptor kit all over mine soon.

Could search for Raptor liner for examples. All over YouTube as well.

I raptor lined my bumpers and side steps. They’re holding up great. Just do proper prep. 126522BC-3549-40DB-B706-31B14BD5FB7B.jpgE3BE1BEE-36C4-492E-A467-50EB6B7DC696.jpg

I have mine done in Line-X Premium on my 13. Just make sure they know what they are doing. I took them my rear bumper and step pads in separate pieces, and they put them together and sprayed them as one piece. That's great until I got home and went to put it back on the truck. I had to cut the seam so that I could separate the pieces. Now I have to figure out how to get them to fix it because it is peeling.

Did you want the plastic sprayed? They shouldn't have sprayed it when together the will now have to strip the hole bumper down. They better do it for you under warranty that's crazy. Most the bumpers I have seen the leave the plastic part alone. And just do the bumper its self

I emailed them the pictures of it and they responded already. They are going to re-do it. The plastic is fine being sprayed....its just that they did it installed on the bumper and it had to be taken off to be able to bolt the bumper back on. I might as well have my flares sprayed at the same time.

That will look awesome! Do you take your flares off every once in a while to clean and wax the paint there? I had some on my truck for a while and took them off because I kept worrying they where going to rub the paint to much.

I agree with @Tundra234 . Thanks to a little brush with a concrete retaining wall  I had to do something with my rear bumper. Since the plastic step was faded I opted for a Line-X spray. My local shop was great. I dropped off the truck and they removed the bumper, un-installed the plastic step, lights etc. The sprayed the pieces separately and then re-assembled. It came out great.

Just ordered the two liter Raptor kit w roller for $48.00 plus tax off of Amazon. On Raptor website it is on sale for $75.00 with 13.00 for shipping ?
Going to do both bumpers and bull bar . And then maybe my Tyger brand steps? But they still look awesome after 18 months. Wish me luck. Thanks. D

So they are going to re-do the entire bumper at no charge on Friday the 30th. I am having the flares done at the same time. They will match the truck alot better I think.

Do you have any other angles of your steps? Do you like everything about them? I’m considering these steps with spray on liner. Thanks!

They are as high up as the door sill so if you are vertically challenged they might not help you? I love them in the almost two years I have had them.
They clean up nice and look aggressive. They were heavy on the install and made me think of well made . Price is a no brainer. Make my truck look mean. I would recommend them to anyone. Good luck. D

So the bumper was stripped and completely resprayed at their cost. I had the flares done at the same time.

So the black top piece of the bumper fit back on even with 2 layers of line-x in between?

Yes it fit with no problems at all. The step pad is coated on the top and the bumper is coated completely.

In fact, I can show you how it will look, minus the chrome. I sprayed my wife’s horse trailer last year after rebuilding it.

I joined to see what is possible
what is the proper prep protocol before spraying bumpers with line x? would prep be different for paint? What was the cost for those who did this?
