Hey guys I wanted to see if anyone else has run into this issue after installing a leveling/lift kit. After installation I noticed a popping noise when I start my truck and start to drive off. It doesn’t ever do it any other time even if I put it into park and drive off only when I turn the truck off and then back on and then start to drive off. It’s not loud but I can feel it in the accelerator pedal. Let me know if anyone has run into this, thanks.

It is the ABS doing a self-check. It's normal and you probably just didn't notice it before the leveling . But it has nothing to do with the leveling - all good.

Ok thanks for the feedback. I can’t imagine missing that initially it’s so obvious. Weird but thanks for the info.

High country leveling kit. They did do an alignment afterwards. I dunno it’s weird.

If it’s only doing it the once after starting the truck and driving off, it’s the ABS for sure. It’s just a self check that the system does. If you can get it to do it more than the once after taking off, something else is going on. In response to what George was telling you, the spring can pop during settling in the cradles. I would assume because they’re trying to find a spot they want to be in LOL

Yep ABS mine does the same thing. Usually right at 12mph I’ll hear like a metallic pop and you feel it in the truck. My wife every time “did something just fall off the truck”

Yeah it's only one time after I start the truck. I can't believe I've never noticed that before lol. I feel dumb...

@Randoo254 I just bought an identical truck and want to level it. Can you tell me about the lift you chose? Did you get an alignment done after? Does it effect the factory warranty at all? And most importantly: did it give you any issues with the front facing camera for lane departure/cruise control etc??
