When it's 60 degrees and snow-free in February in Montana, why not?..

Man it's looking like it's going to be a rough summer out here in the West... Our driest winter on record here in Utah :bananadead::annoyed:

Yeah good chance it's going to be smoke apocalypse this summer. I may take advantage and do my spring southern Utah trip in early March! Might as well make the most of it...

I've been in Montana 20 years and I've never seen a winter this warm and dry.

    that looks like a 'leak-proof' f/glass roof.
a bud near me has same truck (white shell, no ww flares) and pulls a 'Casita' trailer; f/glass rules.

Yep! I've had a fiberglass Toyota Chinook, and this Bigfoot, and I love the fiberglass rvs. This one's for sale. I've had it 10 years and got a lot of great use out of it, but at this time I don't need that much space and I don't have anywhere to store it.

The Tacoma/Tundra and Casita/Scamp etc combo is a good one.

If I could find one just a tad bit smaller but with double axle, I'd be all over it. But I doubt that exists. Bonus if I could open the rear like a hatch.

There is a single axle fiberglass camper like that out there. You won't find (far as I know) anything 17' or smaller with a double axle. Mine is 17'. But you'll pay...

Happier Camper. It can be yours for a little over $30,000.

Been a fly on the wall awhile. Here's the baby! Just hit 100,000 miles a couple months ago. Timing belt done, LBJs are original (should I be scared?). Done a few things, as did the previous owner, but it's mostly stock.

You should seriously consider new lbj's, but I believe you already know this.

    Nice truck.

LBJs, if OEM is used, are good for 100k-125k. I did feel a minute little play in one of mine when I swapped out at 75k(ish) original miles.

Always use OEM parts on this one. Always use fresh hardware (4 bolts per side). Always torque to spec.

Truck looks great, like a damn space shuttle with that high rise and carrier on top!

I replaced mine that were done under the recall at around 150K. They still looked and felt fine, but they were also always in the back of my mind if I was thinking about doing any road trip. Yours are in that window of you need to start planning on replacing them in the next 10-20K miles, but don't really need to worry about them for day to day driving yet.

Order them online from a dealership when they're on sale, buy the tools or rent them from autozone, and you can knock them out in a day, maybe two if they're really difficult. It's not a very technical job to do, it can just be a pain in the ass if the parts don't want to come apart. Plenty of threads on here on how to do the job, and plenty of knowledge if you get stuck.
