As a kid, Legos were my favorite toys and always fascinated me. I am 47 years old and not afraid to admit I still enjoy them. In fact I get a set every Christmas from my kids. During the pandemic, I have started buying them again and have found them to be a great stress reliever. The sets are way more detailed than when I was a kid and so fun to put together.

The recent sets I have put together:

the Voltron set (it is huge and it is awesome. All five panthers transform to create the defender of the universe. It’s amazing)

    Harley Davidson

    iron man head

    boba fett slave ship

    ship in a bottle

    Jeep rubicon

I just ordered the mclaren senna technics set.

Anyone else as fascinated with Lego’s as I am? The next set I want to get is the stranger things upside down set.

Not really into them anymore. But they are differently way more detailed then I was a kid. No kids myself, but my niece and nephew love them. Usually buy a few sets a year for them as gifts. Always fun playing with them. I help them build the sets. Then they do their own thing with them. Plus it annoys my sister with all the little pieces, it's a win win for me

I love Lego. Enough that I know the plural of Lego is Lego, not Legos. ;)

I haven't bought a set in a long time but everytime I walk by the toy aisle I check them out. I'm a Star Wars nerd too, so I've been eyeballing some of the higher end Star Wars sets. The Millenium Falcon is one I'd love to get.

Star wars and the batman ones are cool! Got my nephew the one with the batmobile, it was cool as hell.

My basement is full of them. Mostly Star wars and marvel since my kid is into that stuff. Very fun but not a cheap hobby. Definitely could have done suspension, wheels and tires for what they all cost

About 13yrs ago I built a Ferrari with my step son. It was a 900 piece lego set up. Took us a few days to build. Very detailed when it was completed. Was fun to put together but I have not built one since. I have looked into them recently but are very expensive now.

Same. I despise puzzles. The Woman loves them though. Maybe it will be make date night easier if I buy a Lego set to build while she does her stupid puzzle. LOL

I played them as a kid, and my now 4 year old son loves them. For his 4th birthday I gave him 3 five gallon buckets full of my childhood Lego. My dad put them in Lowe’s buckets 20 years ago and shoved them in his storage building. Pulled them out, ran them through the washing machine in a mesh bag, came out good as new. Speaks to the quality of the product.

Can’t wait until he gets a little older and we can tackle some of the bigger sets together. We have also enjoyed watching the show Lego Masters, which is on Fox and Hulu. I thought I was a decent Lego builder, but those folks are architects and artists all in one.

    I have a few medium-ish size sets.

I have a bin of much smaller sets that belong to the kids. We generally only get 2-3 out at a time to keep the sets intact. Gallon size ziplocks ftw.

I am 50 years old and still love Lego. I especially like the Technic sets. I have several construction related sets in my office.
My son is 21 and also still loves Lego - he gets sets for birthdays and Christmas and any opportunity in between.

Pretty funny. I was just about to head out the door to the Lego store last year when I decided that a couple jigsaws would be cheaper, and a far shorter drive.

I loved Lego as a kid and now my son really enjoys them. We have a basement full of mostly Star Wars going back to the first run of sets from the late 90s (mine, not my son's). Now I find them to be a good stress reliever. Here is my office now, not sure what my colleagues think when I am on video calls for work...

I never had them as a kid while growing up in Puerto Rico. But my 3 and 8 year old boys love them, and I enjoy building them with them. The main problem we have now, though, is that my 3 year old promptly smashes every one of them into a million pieces after they’re built. So for now, we’re on a Lego-building hiatus until he grows out of that destructive phase.

First time I built a set with my son it was a space robot thing. As soon as we finished, he grabbed his action figure hulk and … you guessed it… smashed the Lego set while screaming “Hulk Smash!!” We took a hiatus too, haha.

My son has loved Legos for years. He is still building them at age 21. He has pretty much every Star Wars set pictured in this thread, plus the Millenium Falcon, the original, large Death Star, and more. He has the rocket, large space shuttle, and may others.

We started buying an extra set of some models a few years ago, and found out this summer that some of them are worth up to 7x what we paid for them less than 10 years ago! I wish we had bought more extra sets!
