    Welcome from NY.

I like the smoked Winjets......but there have been issues with them. I wanted to get them but wasn't going to waste my money because of poor manufacturing.....Some members have had good luck with them but there are more that have issues.
Do a search there are different tails available.
    Here is one post...
    https://www.tundras.com/threads/do-...otor-limited-time-discount.28767/#post-708671

    Good luck with your decision.

Your best option long term is to get some quality LED replacement bulbs and put them in the OEM housings. I did a bunch of research and went with that option. I'm really happy with the way it came out. All the benefits of LED lights with none of the drawbacks of aftermarket housings.

This is a great option, what I did as well. I will add to get red LEDs for the brake lights. If clear LED are used the tail lights are less red, more orangish thru the lens.
I have had great results with Sylvania & Phillips LEDs from Amazon. They are moderately priced, not near as much as others out there.

I installed the Spyder LED tail lights and like them a lot so far - Paid $288. I haven't really found any negatives so far and they look WAY better than stock:

Thought I would post a few pics of the Spyder tail lights outside where the lighting is better. To the untrained eye, I think these could easily be mistaken for OEM:Tundra7.jpg Tundra6.jpg Tundra4.jpg

Agree with @pman9003. Get some LED bulbs and do some direct replacements. You can buy the bulbs from Headlight Revolution or from VLEDS. Both will give you some quality bulbs that last years vs the cheap Amazon ones.

More of a dark cherry red I suppose - not black smoke for sure. I won't argue that there are probably better quality LED lights out there, but my price was low in comparison ($288) and going on over a year now I haven't had any quality issues with these LED tail lights. I still think they look more stock than most other aftermarkets and I like the darker red color in contrast with the 040 white. Best.

After a lot of research I went with Morimoto XB Tail Lights and I love them. I'll be getting the Morimoto XB headlights and Fogs soon as well. Not cheap by any means, but seem to be the best out there. I also did my puddle lights and the license plate lights with Morimoto plug and play LED's. So the whole truck will soon be Morimoto all the way around. Except for the 3rd Brake light. I wanted to buy a whole replacement kit until I learned you have to get under the liner to install one of those. So I went with a custom smoked lens cover instead and swapped out the old halogen bulbs with VLED LED's again, not the cheapest, but seem to be the best out there. It came out very nice.

So I went ahead and bought the blacked out Hirev tails for my 19 CM. One of the 3 plugs was plug and play, the other 2 needed surgery and weren't real clear on the connection to factory plug. Wired them up and left them out to test. Of course I have the damn hyper flash problem. Fuses are good. Going to call Hirev tomorrow, but so far not impressed.

So after reading another post, the plugs do not go in order with the factory plugs (top to bottom). Flipped wires and they work perfectly.

That is what I would do. I have better things to spend my money on then taillight assemblies. I just put LED reverse lights in mine.

I own a set. Been +2yrs. No issues, no complaints.

I'm not a fan of the OEM tails. They look gaudy and cheap IMO.

Headlights... completely different story. Stay OEM LED.
