I searched various threads about this but didn't find anything so hoping to get input. I purchased a set of 2018 LED fogs to replace my halogen fogs on my SR5. I have the standard halogen headlights. I want to replace the headlights eventually with the new LED ones but it isn't in the cards at the moment. Will it look bad with LED fogs and halogen headlights? I realize there will be a noticeable difference in the lighting color but has anyone else done this?

Here is my Sequoia with LED fog lights and halogen headlights.

Edit: to answer your question about difference in color, yes, once you turn on the fog lights you will notice the light on the ground is whiter than the low beams. However, after a few seconds of both the low beam and fog light on, I can't even tell the difference.

I wouldnt say it will look bad. I would only say you will notice different light colors and brightness on your end. For example, you’ll barely notice the immediate ground is illuminated in a very light blue color which is brighter than the headlight low beam light/pattern. If I were you I’d consider how long it will be before you get the LED headlights. It would be nice to do it all at once, but the install process is completely separate. What I mean by that is you dont need to deal with removing any parts on truck for LED headlights install, that you will also need to remove for foglight install. Hope that makes sense

You can always do the fog light mod and run your fogs independently of the headlights so you don’t notice the difference...I have BD amber fogs and white led headlights, looks awesome, IMO...

It doesn't look bad, the light colors just don't match. I did my headlights but haven't' done my fogs yet. It drives my OCD brain nuts but I just haven't had the chance to swap the bulbs in my fog lights.

I would swap to the led fogs asap. My OEM fogs sucked. I could hardly tell they were on. I put led bulbs in OEM housing and they are great. Light up the road for probably 30' right in front of the bumper. I did the led fogs before the headlights by a few months. Did not care what it looked like. I can't see front of truck when driving. I did not know you could run fogs without headlights.

Thanks everyone for your replies. I think I will go ahead and do the swap even though it may be a few months before I do the headlight swap. Like rustynail - for me it's more of an OCD thing and will bug me until I get the new headlights. I appreciate all the input and sound like it's worth doing it now.

I have this setup on my wife’s Sequoia. I’m not in love with it, but don’t want to drop a lot of money on new headlights since she’ll likely be getting a new vehicle by the end of the year.

I had original put led lamps in her housings, but they were too bright and causing issue for other drivers. Led lamps in halogen housings are too blinding.

Surprisingly, I turned on the headlights and fog lights and stood quite a bit distance in front of the car. I didn't see the fogs being brighter or causing more glare than the low beams.

I meant I had led bulbs in her headlight housings. Those are the ones that were causing too much glare.

Oh, ok. I know LEDs and HIDs shouldn't go in the halogen reflector housings which is why I did all LEDs except the low beams.

Ive done the ‘19 LED Pro headlight swap and the ‘18 LED Fog swap. The fogs whether stock or LED are borderline useless. Yes there is a color difference...stock lights are more yellow, LEDs are more clear. They don’t match BUT none of that matters from the drivers seat. :notsure:

I use Auxbeam led fogs and headlamps. All 4 were like $65 from Amazon
