I just got two keys and two FOBs for my 2007 Tundra RCLB SR5. Both
RemotesremotesCom & keyfobprogram.com say I need to have a dealer or locksmith
    program them.
A buddy found a program programautokeys.com which had a procedure
that I tried, but it didn’t work. It had a lot of door closing & opening and key turning. It
would allow the new cut key to turn the starter over, but no ignition.

I’ve looked for Techstream but the only versions I’ve found are for older software like
    Windows 7 32b.

Could someone please provide me with a link for a new Dell XPS13. Windows 10 64 bit??
I’d be very grateful. I found several but just not sure which is the best source.
After a bit of research I’m not even sure which cable I should get, as some seem to be
    old style as well EBDA9C57-AE74-4E74-924B-318BB14B41F6.jpg6E02D7E7-BFD0-418E-AEFF-EF7642B08B44.jpg38F4A6EE-54DC-4B4D-8C42-385D6BCF932F.jpg07C8F647-1A73-4BDF-9A90-576495A1685B.jpg

I tried running Tech stream via win10 and could never get it to work. Also tried running it in a Virtual Machine but no joy there either. I ended up buying an old laptop from eBay for $40 and it runs great. FWIW..,

My $400 autel scanner can do keys and remotes. Snap on at work also had no problem.... Any local shop should be able to do it.

That is good news. I just had my Autel programmed by a buddy for the Tundra and the RAV4. So thank you.
My buddy is a heavy mechanic instructor and will do the timing belt in a week or so, we will do them then.
That is good news! This is a budget build. So anything that helps me save some money is good this year.

I rediscovered an old Dell laptop of my wife's with Windows XP (32bit). I'm going to try to make into a dedicated Techstream laptop. From my latest journey into Techstream, sellers of the hacked versions are clearly saying that install will easiest on 32bit Windows XP or Windows 7. Otherwise, they say you are better off running Techstream inside Virtual Box on 64bit systems.

I have an old Windows 7 Laptop that got updated to Windows 10 a while ago. I run BMW software as well as Techstream on this machine and haven't had any issues running it although I am running Techstream Version 10.30.029 & not the latest version which I believe is 15.00.026, not sure if I can run that one or not on Windows 10 OS. Might need to look at upgrading my version though. Two of my family members now have 2018 model year Toyota/Lexus vehicles & I don't think my version will be able to do much if anything to them.

Not sure how I missed the tag.
I've got version 10.10.018 that I have running on an old Dell Venue tablet. It is running on Windows 10 20H2, but it is a 32-bit tablet.

I have successfully run it on x64 Windows 8 and Windows 10 laptops though. You just have to dork around with the drivers a little.

I used it to program keys and fobs on my 2008 when I had it. I've also used it to deactivate the seatbelt chimes on my 2021 (and several others). The version I have doesn't auto-recognize the truck because it only has 2017 and older in it, but all the functions are still there. I have messed around a little with newer versions, but ran into an issue where newer versions needed a cable that had a newer firmware. Since the ebay/Amazon knock-offs typically have the v1.4 firmware and cannot be updated, that made it more difficult, so I just stuck with the version I knew worked.

That's good to know, I could care less about the auto recognize just not sure about additional functionality on the newer vehicles especially since one of them has Toyota Safety Sense. I've debated on whether I want to go back with Windows 7 on my dedicated auto software laptop and reinstall all my software but everything is working now. Maybe I'll try installing one of the newer Techstreams on my laptop as it sits with Windows 10. I made the current version work so hopefully I can get the newer one to work as well.

Same here, running an old version on Windows 10 x64 since 2016. Took awhile to get it working for me.

My only warning is that at some point, the version of TS requires the newer firmware in the cable. I have a copy of TS 12-something kicking around that I could never get working (not due to the computer, but due to the cable). Rolled back to the 10.x that I have and no issues.

So far, everything I've used it to look at shows up in there. I haven't specifically looked for things like calibrating TSS radar or anything like that, but as far as pulling codes or changing dealer-only settings, they have all showed up when I hooked it up. I just have to pick the make/model from the drop-down list when I first connect.

I see. I can't remember what version cable I purchased, would have to try and look back and see when i ordered it. I have the cable I bought then I have the flash kit that came when I bought my OV Tune, don't know if that one is compatible. I'll try and connect in the newer vehicles and see what I can or can't do before I try and update to a newer version. Unless anyone has confirmed getting a newer version of Techstream to work on a Windows 10 platform.

If you need the v2.0.4 firmware cable, try this link: https://www.uobdii.com/wholesale/mini-vci-for-toyota-tis-techstream-v500028-single-cable-2442.html

I'm actually trying to get a TS version no higher than about v11. As the vehicles have gotten more complicated, they have had to eliminate some desireable features on the later versions, e.g. the "Health Check" button. Plus, v11 is about contemporary with my Tundra (2017), so it will cover everything I'll need.

The site above is free of trojans, but my Malwarebytes goes nuts on some others (online, not Amazon). I think this seller used to be on Amazon, but there's a whole new bunch of sellers now. The link above may not be any good six months from now. The v2.0.4 cable is currently out of stock, but a lot of these Chinee sellers are out of all Mini VCI/TS stock right now. This site has "Chat" and may be able to give you a delivery forecast.

Might try & install a newer version alongside my older version if it will allow me. There was a reason why I went with an older version of Techstream because the newest version at the time I installed it was around Version 12 but I went with Version 10.30.029.

If I recall correctly, you can't have multiple versions running. I tried getting 12 working a few years back, no luck, then rolled back to the v10 I had and it worked fine so I've not bothered with it since.

Makes sense. Only way to do it would probably be on a separate partition. I need to try and connect with the current version on the newer 2018 year models. Maybe I'll try to this weekend & see what kind of functionality I have on the newer ones.

Mine won't auto-detect, and the newest MY it lists is maybe 2017, but so far once it's connected and knows it is a Tundra, I've not seen anything missing. I was able to see smart key info, etc. - I think the platform is actually "open" enough that it builds the grid views off of the data it receives.

Interesting to know. I have a 2018 Highlander & a 2018 GX460 to try and connect to and see what my old Version 10 can make of them. My truck is a 2014 so my version 10 was able to handle it pretty well.
