Just moved to the area.I have a 2002 tundra. Looking for someone who can help me replace my exhaust manifolds. Looking for friends and someone who likes to work on their truck.I have most tools and do many repairs myself. My truck comes from Maine so it has some rust issues. Not terrible. But enough to intimidate me.If you are in the area and are open to help let me know. I am also more than willing to help you too with any projects you may have. Thanks. Even if no one offers I will do it myself so any info or advice anyone could share would be great. The clicking of the exhaust is killing me, I have had the truck about a month. I drives me crazy.

Ouch... i just spent the last 2 days removing my stock manifolds to install headers. I used a small Dremel wheel to cut the heat shields off and then removed the motor mount brackets from the block. Getting those rusty old heat shields off seemed to take forever. Once all that was disconnected, I was able to Jack the engine up a few inches apply some heat and penetrating oil and get the nuts off the studs, and ended up pulling some of the studs out as well. No broken studs, though!
Tomorrow morning I'll install the headers and continue with my exhaust install.

I hope you can find someone to assist, although it wasn't a horrible job to do alone. Just time consuming.

    Oh, and welcome aboard!

Whoa. Nice. Where did you get the dremel grinding wheels. I bought some cheap ones from Walmart. But the shatter. What headers are you using ? Where did you purchase them? Good job. You will relish in the victory once complete.

I bought a 20 pack Of Dremel brand cutting wheels at Home Depot for 6 bucks and used most of them. I went with the 135.00 dollar Manzo Stainless headers off eBay. They had a bunch of decent reviews and they look to be pretty good quality. I just didn't want to spend the money for JBAs.

What did you use to apply heat ?? I will get some of those from Home Depot. The ones I got from Walmart are junk.

I just looked at the Manzo. The price is amazing. Please let me know how the installation goes.

Propane torch. One of those old school ones that use the flint to ignite it. That thing has been invaluable during this rebuild.
