    Hi,

I don't have a Tundra, yet. But, I am looking to get one in a few months. Looking for an '05 -' 06. Trying to decide between an AC or DC, SR5 or limited and 4WD or 2WD. Prefer a 4WD, but they are pretty scarce and when they pop up, the sellers are wanting well over blue book valu le for it, soI am trying to decide if I really need the 4WD.

I currently have a '97 Tacoma 4WD, which is my DD. When I get the Tundra, the Tacoma will be my work and off road/camping vehicle. The Tundra will be my weekend, tow and camping vehicle.

Welcome from eastern CO! I take it you're down south or somewhere where 4WD pickups are a little harder to find?

Welcome from TX! 4WD is great but I used it once in like 5 years and didn't even have to use it when I did. I wouldn't sweat it too much if you go with 2WD, especially if you've got some other 4WD vehicles/toys in your arsenal.

Welcome to the forum. When it comes later to trade your truck, you will have easier time with 4x4 and the resale value will be higher too. I use the 4x4 mode every winter. With it, I have no problem climbing ice/snow banks. Without it, I would not even try.

Welcome! AC vs DC depends on whether you need the space in the cabin or in the bed, or your sexual preference depending on the conversation.

SR5 vs Limited depends on how you feel about bells, whistles, unicorns and rainbows.

2WD vs 4WD depends on your religion. I happen to be a born-again 4WD'er which means I tread softly when the Church of the Latter day 2WD'er accolytes come-a-knockin'
